The blue one is just a regular 3M gasmask valve, the other one with spring, that valve is scavenged from a high pressure Panorama Nova that I had parted out a while back to replace some bits on my Dräger Workmaster Industry hazmat suit.

Yes I am aware. The valves still keep a bit of pressure inside, because the suit should be slightly overpressurised than the outside, so that a potential small leak won't let air in. It also takes a lot of pressure inside for the body not being able to exhale.
