So my initial F.E.A.R. stream ran almost perfectly with absolutely no frame drops or quality issues whatsoever. That said, I may have tweaked a think or two to make it run even more perfecter, so you're in for a treat #twitch #streaming #halloween twitch.tv/wroughtbot

This was my favorite of the 3 by far. Knowing the order of the kills is one thing, but using photos to try and figure out HOW they die is another entirely. It added an element the first 2 were missing I think. Also a very good (and inappropriately timed) cover of Love Train in the credits

000

I watched the 3rd Final Destination movie today. There were some good moments in the first 2. but I'm hoping there's a bit more variety in the future. This one definitely felt like the right direction #dailymoviewatch #halloween

I find horror movies kind of stop being horror movies when the victims are Nazis. Then it's just an underdog story starring puppets. Still a good watch though

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Continuing with the Puppet Master movies; I watched Puppet Master 3. These have been interesting. I'm a sucker for stop motion, but also these movies just haven't been very memorable to me (except the theme song is really good) #dailymoviewatch #halloween

Moving on to something maybe a bit more spooky. Tonight I'll be streaming a game I've been curious about for a while: F.E.A.R. #twitch #streaming #halloween twitch.tv/wroughtbot

Everyone in this movie is either a man, has a huge ass, or both. Which is fine, just fun to notice. I really like when kids movies try to get as much into a PG age rating as possible, and this one definitely strains its bounds. Really liked it though, fun designs and artstyle

000

With Wildwood coming out in a few weeks, it reminded me that there are other Laika movies I haven't seen yet. Like ParaNorman, which is very season appropriate. #dailymoviewatch #halloween

100

The crazy thing about these movies is that the CG looks just as dated in 2017 as it did in 2002. This was a weaker entry. They brought the laser security wall back but made it worse. Also there was a ticking clock that may as well displayed a random time. All in all, an OK ending

I finally finished the (Milla Jovovich) Resident Evil movies after watching one of them a year basically since I started this Shlock and Horror business. They were cheesy while still being fun. I may watch the newer live action movies, but it won't be the same.... #dailymoviewatch #halloween

100

Better than the first imo. I like that the people involved were loosely related to the people that died in the first movie. It's a very cool butterfly effect thing.

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Today I watched the 2nd Final Destination movie. Going into it all I knew was this was the one with the log truck scene that everyone says ruined their ability to drive behind them #dailymoviewatch #halloween

100

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I love that the sights and sounds of 2002 Hot Topic were not only enough to raise one vampire from his slumber, but also the mother of ALL vampires. The music in this is incredibly of its time (and there is a LOT of it) Also no one in this movie was the main character

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I'm not gonna lie watching the Blade movies this year really made me want to keep digging into weird early 2000s vampire stuff. So today I watched Queen of the Damned #dailymoviewatch #halloween

Stephen King movies really do a great job at making you feel uncomfortable. Watching this guy continue to gambler's fallacy up zombies makes you more and more anxious, to the point the last time almost had me screaming at the TV. The credits song Pet Sematary is very catchy fyi

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Horror movies with young kids always fascinate me. You hear stories about the ways the kids are shielded from the actual horror parts and the way they're directed to do certain things. That's always in the back of my mind when I watch these. Anyway, I saw Pet Sematary #dailymoviewatch #halloween

I actually finally got my passport after years of putting it off. Now I can finally set out and see countries I'd never been to before. This movie did not make that idea more appealing. I'm already plenty nervous for my first international flight without all this shit

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

As is traditional with Schlock and Horror, I pick a franchise I'd never seen before to finish. This year I went with the Final Destination movies. Starting (somewhat predictably) with the first movie #halloween #dailymoviewatch

I got the impression that he was supposed to look like an ordinary wolf to the hunters. I'm not sure if being a hairy human was just for our benefit or if everyone was just being willfully ignorant by denying the existence of werewolves. Decent though. Old Universal horror tends to make me sleepy

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Now for the moment I've all been waiting for: Schlock and Horror (properly this time). I opened this month with another Universal classic: The Wolf Man! #dailymoviewatch #halloween

With that controversial take, let's rank September's movies: 1.)Coming to America: It defies genre it's so good 2.)Cadillac Man: It was a wild and pleasant ride 3.)Parasite: It was a wild and pleasant ride until it was WEIRD Worst: The Pest. Impressively bad even for the time

101

I love Wizard of Oz. Though I prefer it as a sort of dream rather than a real world with people in it. The witch in the original looks like Ms. Gulch, the Tin Man, Lion, and Scarecrow all look like people Dorothy knew, etc. So while I liked this, it didn't really scratch my itch

100

Tomorrow begins Spooky month, so I supposed Wicked makes a decent enough transition movie. I really wish I'd seen the stage version of this before the movie, but at the same time I made absolutely no effort to achieve that goal, so that's on me #dailymoviewatch

WroughtBot's Schlock, Horror, and BEYOND: September- Forbidden Planet (1956), Interstellar (2014), Last Action Hero (1993), Tag (2018), Jack (1996), The Revenant (2015), Big Shark (2023), 2012 (2009), The Great Outdoors (1988), The Pest (1997), Ballerina (2025), Blade Trinity (2004), Commando (1985), Coming to America (1988), The Craft (1996), Paprika (2006), Joe Versus The Volcano (1990), Grave of the Fireflies (1988), A Colt is my Passport (1967), Battlefield Earth (2000), Cadillac Man (1990), Parasite (2019), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), Toy Story 5 (2026), Fun With Dick and Jane (2005), Dune Part Two (2024), Uncharted (2022), Bad Boys II (2003), The Substance (2024), Wicked (2024)

100

This film had a lot to say about male gaze, Hollywood, vanity, and aging. Fortunately for me it decided to say these things in the weirdest, most bizarre way possible. It was gratuitous in its sexualization and in its body horror elements. It was fabulous and disturbing

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I was originally planning on waiting until next month to watch the Substance since that's gonna be my big horror blowout. Unfortunately they're taking it off of HBO next month and I really don't want to rent more movies than I have to #dailymoviewatch

100

This is barely a cop movie. So many open air gunfights and car chases happen in this movie. To the point they literally invade Cuba at the end. It was fine, but I'll be honest, it wasn't really my thing. Even compared to the first movie

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I've basically been on a mission since I firsts saw Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz to consume the media referenced in it. I've drank apple schnapps and played Tekken 2, I've seen Point Break, and now finally I've seen Bad Boys 2 #dailymoviewatch

100

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

They understood the assignment tbh. Tom Holland does a great job as the character despite being miscast, the fight scenes were engaging as well as charming, and they even had Drake dangle out of an airplane by his leg. I liked the movie, there I said it

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Admittedly my experience with the Uncharted franchise is very minimal. Tom Holland is a weird choice for Nathan Drake from what I know of it, though. That said, it's been a while since I've watched a video game movie so I was kinda hankering this one. #dailymoviewatch

100

This movie does a great job treating some things as reverent and leaving other things as up to interpretation. It was visually gorgeous. The Harkonnen planet and its weird black fireworks were really striking. It also feels like there're some story liberties being taken, which could be interesting

000

We're a few months out from Dune 3, so I figured it's probably time to watch Dune 2. Unrelated, but I've seen some memes lately about Paul Atreides being transgender. Drinks juice that turns him into a girl. Changes name to Maude Ib. I just find it amusing #dailymoviewatch

100

The first half of this movie was sad more than funny tbh. It's not like Dick really deserved any of what was happening to him. He wasn't overly cocky or cruel. Just a little excited about his promotion. Then the crime spree stuff started, and that was fun (with Dick and Jane, teehee)

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I watched Fun With Dick and Jane today. Which, I just found out, is a remake. It's surprising how often that's happened this year. #dailymoviewatch

100

I really like that this movie focused on the "When Somebody Loves You" motif rather than "You've Got a Friend in Me." Not only does it make sense considering the focus of the movie is Jesse, but it's also just a really good song. Movie was fine. I did like the weird old devices Blaze had

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Toy Story is a franchise that I firmly believe had an amazing conclusion. Then Toy Story 4 came out and it had a decent conclusion. Then Toy Story 5 came out. I kinda just wish they'd stop cash cowing this and end it, but this is Disney we're talking about #dailymoviewatch

100

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Bartertown must have smelled horrible with all that pig shit, why did everyone forget how to speak after only 15/20 years in the wasteland (the kids I ALMOST excuse because they were on their own), and apparently it's morally OK to punch a girl but not to fight the mentally ill

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Watched the 3rd Mad Max film today. I had to purge the Mel Gibson out of the system first, then I could move on to Tom Hardy #dailymoviewatch

100

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Talk about tonal whiplash. They went from lightheartedly replacing their staff with their whole family, to finding the guy in the basement and almost getting caught, to many deaths at a child's birthday party. Honestly, I was kinda rooting for the con artists the whole time

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

There were people in my life who I'd never seen watch a foreign film telling me to watch Parasite when it came out a few years back. I don't know why I resisted so much, bbut I've seen it now. #dailymoviewatch

100

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

This is so good. I thought the movie was getting frustrating at first until it built to the hostage situation. Then everything before payed off in such a beautiful way. It's a top 3 Robin Williams movie for me for sure

000

WroughtBot @wroughtbot.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I don't know how I keep finding more Robin Williams movies that I hadn't seen yet. That guy never took a damn break. Today I saw Cadillac Man #dailymoviewatch

100

I'm not sure if it's more the budget of the film or the year it came out, but it visually felt like it was both crappy and ambitious. I honestly enjoyed it, though there were some logic flaws. How would they have beat the humans if their weakness is nukes for example?

000

I picked Battlefield Earth because it looked like a weirdly low budget 2000s sci fi film. Turns out it's based on a book written by L Ron Hubbard (of Scientology fame). Found that out about 2 minutes ago, so that's a neat little wrinkle #dailymoviewatch

100

No offense to the movie, but I was passing out on and off while watching it. 2 guys were wanted by the mob for offing their leader, and they hid out at a motel. There was a guy with an unfortunate cheek implant that made him look like he was allergic to nuts. It was fun though

000
