Even nearly a decade ago, I found the Card Captor Sakura Clear Card anime to look uncanny and unappealing. And I don't think it's that Clamp's style "aged poorly". The Clear Card manga ended in 2024. It looks different from the original series, but not drastically, and it's visually perfectly fine.

This just means we're getting a new version of Star Wars Saga Edition, right? Right?

It is what American urban planning feels like though

Summer Beaumont, my character from an old Dresden Files tabletop RPG campaign I was in years back. She was a musician and were-puma who got dragged along into supernatural mysteries before settling down with a cute witch. I commissioned this art from LidonGaming, I but don't think they're on BlueSky

The great irony about a remake of Silent Hill 2, a game about a man enraptured by the distorted facsimile of a deceased loved one, becoming a hit is not lost on me. She's not your Mary, sure, but she's so modern, so much sexier, right? Still, she better do something about that cough.

Oh wait there's the bit I was thinking of specifically.

Suddenly remembering even the base book, there's a whole playbook about codependency that's definitely not based on Bella Swan. And I love that The Queen is equally as likely to just be a regular human who's just a manipulative bitch as she is to be some mind controlling space alien.

That's complete misinformation. This is what he actually said. It's very clear from the context he means what thinking about what One Piece as a work is to him personally, not "the One Piece".

Okay this year's Valentione's Day quest rewards in FFXIV are good. I loved the outfits from last year's one but obviously that was mired in the the outfits being initially genderlocked, for a a quest specifically about the two girls not feeling comfortable in the outfits they felt obligated to wear.

Slay the Princess got me thinking of games that have little tone setter screens at the start. More specifically that The Starship Damrey's one feels bizarre and pretentious for a rather easy and straight forward point and click adventure game. And of course StP perfectly tells you what it is upfront

Finding out that the Horror Game Awards are run by a Bloober Team subsidiary and that they gave the Silent Hill 2 remake a "Best Trailer" award was incredible.

Commissioned a redesign for my spider fursona. Art by Paper_Pellet on tumblr. She's more Monster Girl-y now but I liked the idea of her being badly disguised as a regular human and just having monstrous elements that could be mistaken as something mundane. I was inspired by Q-Bee from Darkstalkers.

One of the classes that was teased in the Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest is Magical DPS. Yoshi P's shirt showed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who are named after artists. I think the new Job will be Pictomancer, based on Relm Arrowny from FF VI. She equipped paint brushes and brought drawings to life

I wanted to show the EG RX-78-2 gunpla too. Love that it comes with the Gundam hammer and the beam javelin. I'm also becoming aware of my internal biases, lmao.

The original a model of the original RX-78-2 Gundam posed with one of the Zaku II. The Gundam has a beam rifle pointed as the Zaku while also swinging a spiked ball flail on a chain at it. The Zaku is holding it's hands up and staggering back.

The Galbaldy Beta, Getter Arc, and Darillbalde all posed together brandishishing their weapons. All of them are shades of red.

Oh figured I should post some of gundam (plus Getter Arc) model kits. Only sticking to High Grades at the moment and the place seems too cramped to painting at the moment. Still, I'm happy I got back into the hobby again this year. I'll probably post more later.

The tall Getter Robo Arc and shorter Zaku II model kits stand side by side, each with an axe flung over their shoulders. Both have their hands beckoning forward as if taunting anyone approaching.

The red Galbaldy Beta model kit is posed together fighting in close combat with the amphibious crablike Hygogg. The Hygogg reaching out with it's massive long arms towards the Galbaldy only to be struck with a beam saber. However, in the distance the green Zaku II crouching and taking aim with it's machine gun, ready to gang up on the Galbaldy in a surprise attack.

The white and pink rabbit-like Gundam Lfrith robot model kit is held on a display stand in an aerial pose with it's rifle and beam saber drawn. It's Gund-bit drones surround it in a formation.

The red and green, beetle-like Darrilbalde on a display base. It is posed like it's charging forward with two swords drawn. It's shield and sword drones surround it from different angles, implying they're guarding it from an unseen enemy.

Vulnerable people like that being pulled into those scams just feels like even more reason to hate crypto and NFTs.

Okay. But that's worse. You do get how that's worse, right?
