Starting short stories based on individual characters from my manuscript as a writing exercise. Focusing on conciseness, overall structure and developmental clarity. #amwriting #writingcommunity #booksky #reading #scifi #fantasy
From the grand city of Vael'theris, a wonder of technological triumph and post scarcity wonders, traveled a thyrea. Though highly esteemed, she was looked down upon by the more experienced and vetted Vyrethi on the transport craft.

Her peers were almost exclusively thyren—biologists, physicists, and kin of the fold. The eyes and ears of the Vyrethi, the data collectors, travellers.

The craft was headed northeast to the desolate Aerel mountain range, far from civilization. She squinted as she peered out the window, silver eyes pained at the bright glaciers and snowy peaks.

A cold thyren voice rumbled by her side.

"You'll be snowblind before you leave the hatch, close the shade."

She looked at his strong jaw, his sharp smirk, his glowing blue eyes. She bit her lip, thinking what it would be like if she kissed the tall handsome emissary, the one who was there when she felt her lowest. The one who made it his duty to lift her out of her own dispair and make her feel real again.
