I have completed my first route in FEFW! I truly love Dietrich and his crew and I’m honestly kinda sad to be leaving them behind. But i can’t believe that’s only one of four part 1s. Theodora has piqued my interest next, though I’m going to take a little break first!

My final uni module starts today, it’s a group based thing unfortunately, but so was last years, so I wasn’t too bothered. Uni has “embraced” ai though. So you’re allowed to use it if you credit it in your assignments. A choice, for a module about environmental sustainability.

I'm at 35 hours in FEFW now and definitely starting to feel 'oh, I've fucked up so much of my first run by not really understanding the mechanics'. Which is frustrating, but I am really enjoying the story and character interactions. I just kinda wish there was a little less time between story beats.

I was a massive Layton fan. They are the games that got me into the hobby as a child and were very formative for me. I will not play nwos or the remake. Level 5 have been open about their massive ai usage and I will not touch any new product they make. I’d say it’s a shame, but it is what it is.

Had my wrist MRI today, so I tried to aggravate my wrist during my back to work training day yesterday. I succeeded, but I also managed to bruise my ribs as well - I don’t know how. So between that and having to superman pose on my stomach for the MRI, my body is battered this evening!

Between the heat and my brother getting his a-level results today I’ve not had the capacity for much, so I’ve been continuing my long running BL replay of fe3h, just hit chapter 12. I love fire emblem, I’m so happy fefw is confirmed a prequel now, I’m very excited for the next few months.

I feel like not enough people know that today is the peak of the perseid meteor shower. The eclipse is cool and all, but it also presents the reasonably high opportunity to see meteorites during the eclipse itself, which is fucking awesome!

I think we forget that fe3h was a lockdown game for a lot of people. Yes, it came out almost a full year before they started, but there are probably a lot of people who only played it or even multiple routes of it because of the lockdowns thanks to the free time.

Woke up at 4 am today after a truly horrific nightmare. Since I couldn’t get back to sleep, I decided to see if Pokopia has the same 5 am magic feel as animal crossing. It does. I have now spent over an hour softly weeping and taking pictures of sleepy Rolycoly. 10/10
