Do you have any tweezers or coated pliers that you can use to gently pull it out? Otherwise maybe putting it in the freezer for 15 minutes will loosen it up enough

Desi requested help to clean both of her Nahvalur (Narwhal) pens of old ink and put them back together. After some careful work you can see the pens are now clean and in working order. It was nice to work on modern pens! #fountainpen #fountainpenrepair #nahvalurpens #repairdontreplace

A kind friend asked me to clean and replace the ink bladder in his old Esterbrook. After a thorough cleaning (a lot of dried ink) I replaced and talced the bladder, shellacked the sealing point, and put it back together! #fountainpen #fountainpenrepair #vintage

That indeed works for especially old or stubborn inks! I’d recommend taking out the ink cartridge and soaking the grip end of the pen with the nib in a glass of warm (not hot!) water overnight. Then run it under cold water the next day and it should run clear after a few minutes. Dry w/ paper towel

This was a repair request from a friend. He purchased a Welsharp fountain pen from a discount bin at the Chicago Pen Show. With a cleaning, ink sac/bladder replacement, and nib smoothing I restored the pen to a usable condition. It was inked with J. Herbin Citron and writes like an italic/stub nib.
