I finally finished this Enterprise D LCARS cross stitch! Was supposed to take about a year, but longcovid had other plans for my brain and ability to count. So it's been over four years instead. It has a bazillion-jillion stitches in it.

We both came from a place of respect and a nerdy desire to talk about comic books. We discovered that we both understood the word, "BADASS." That was a lot of fun. We gestured, we franglaised, we had such fun. And outside the train station in Paris on the way home I even saw "BADASS" on a poster:

SpaceDad Stories Book Four's first draft is finally done! Editing will hopefully go quickly, then it's off to the test reader and I will immediately start work on Book Five.

Zelenskyy was right. Trump and Vance were trying to make Zelenskyy their dog and he wasn't having it. Zelenskyy dropped truth bombs on their attempts, and that sent Trump and Vance into hysterics. And all I could think was, "Yay Zelenskyy for not bending the knee!" So I made a meme:

I have completed my latest crochet project, an armrest cover! I wove in the ends as I worked so I get extra gold stars and an easy finish. Working my way towards an all-out old-nerdy-lady chair because I'm a rapidly aging nerdy lady.

ALT autonag: go to Settings, Accessibility, it's a switch right there that says "Require alt text before posting". This is super easy and takes seconds. ALTs just need to say what's in the image, that's it. For example:
