My wife & I went to our friends apt for drinks and apertivos last night & met 2 other friends there.We walked to dinner to a great place called Voltereta Manhattan and had a wonderful evening. Walked 20 mins home. It’s nice to have male friends since we really haven’t had before moving to Valencia😊

My wife made a delicious dinner for us and a visiting friend. Roasted chicken breast, roasted carrots on a bed of feta/yogurt mix and fingerling potatoes, also roasted with pecorino on top. Our friend brought her homemade Russian salad. We also knocked back a bottle of white vermouth 😋🤣

I just finished reading this wonderful book, The Midnight Library. I highly recommend it. It was touching and intriguing and reminded me a bit of my favorite Christmas movie (the book is not Christmas related).. It’s a Wonderful Life. #Books

Valencia is a flat walkable city. Check out the Ayunamiento area as it’s gorgeous as well and has lots of shops and restaurants. Turia Gardens, Science and Arts buildings, all great to see. Museum of Fine Arts is beautiful and free to enter. Of course go to Malvarosa Beach and enjoy 🥘 Paella.

We have gone there twice and really enjoyed it both times. The first time was such a quick stop (45 mins) that we came back two years later and spent more time looking around.
