Val is an amnesiac Shetona from Y'yasulani currently living in Eorzea, but his real-life inspiration comes from the Comcáac – Seri people from Sonora and the Nahuas people from Oaxaca. He is currently trying to reconnect with his culture and traditions so he can pass them down to his kid.

Nuniq! She's a shetona from an offshoot tribe called the Uka. Partially inspired by Inuit culture, they typically live in colder climes and are seasonal nomads. Nuniq is an exceptionally talented mage with a seemingly mild disposition but she's just as eccentric as her niece. Children scare her.

Kon is from a small, secluded tribe of Xaela that actually migrated to the Eshceyaani Wilds in Xak Tural. It has no memory of it's previous life, only that it tried to return to the tribe and was immediately cast out for reasons it does not understand. It's now a wandering adventurer.
