a fireman's hat is one of the power ups available to the goose, you can use it to put out fires and even have some obstacles bonk safely off of your head #screenshotsaturday #solodev #godot #platformer #bonk

here's all the animation frames for the goose so far! I've been learning pixel art as I go so lots of trial and error, redrawing, etc. pretty happy with this for now. thank you, Aseprite!

I quite like how the point lights look in this nighttime level... but it bugs me a little how they're not very 'retro'-looking. although replacing them with a simple transparent (or dithered?) circle sprite would probably be kind of ugly in comparison. hmmmm...

hi! my name's Jonathan and I'm making a retro-style 2D platformer called GANDER FROM THE GREEN in the excellent @godotengine.org! my inspirations are mostly a mix of the classic Sonic games, Yoshi’s Island, Donkey Kong Country and Mario 3/World.
