Will I get fined if I forget to do a Census? What about the hundreds of dollars a day? Breathe and relax - the fines are if you have been served a formal direction to complete and continue refusing! Allow me to reference the ABS' own website - info.census.abs.gov.au/about/doing-...
If you do not complete and submit your form, we will contact you to encourage your participation first. If you still do not respond, you may be served a direction in writing to complete the Census. This is a formal legal instruction to complete the Census.

Failing to comply with a direction is an offence under the Census and Statistics Act 1905. If you do not complete the Census when directed, you can be prosecuted and fined up to $364 a day. Knowingly providing false or misleading statements or information is also an offence and can result in a fine of up to $3,640

It is the 24th here and I have literally no qualifications, but I do have post-it notes and a dejected toy sitting near me while I work. I am prepared to be the floor of this thing that I never previously heard of.
Extremely crude 4 panel comic done in black pen on a post-it note

"The Incredible Spider-Man... toy that I won in a claw machine but who was rejected by my daughters"

Panel 1 - a Spider-Man toy with weird proportions lies inert on a desk

Panel 2 - slight zoom, the Spider-Man toy thinks "I get it tbh"

Panel 3 - now focused on his face, the toy thinks "I'd try to shove me back up the prize chute, too"

Panel 4 - Just "The End?" because I had already done my one joke

It doesn't necessarily confirm the honeypot theory, but this is the post you were reading out in the video - similar things have been done with a bunch of the Boole posts, where they've been scrubbed but you can see the echo of the original in quotes by other users.
An edited post on the 'TGA Community Forums' by so-called leaker 'Boole' that now just reads "We lost". Reading it out might not have made for quite so compelling a stream/video, but boy would it have been succinct!

My default lunch when WFH is a decent packet of instant ramen with some added soy sauce, vinegar & sriracha, but the real kicker is just chucking a few dumplings in there.
A bowl of instant ramen (pocha ramyun to be specific) with three dumplings that have been cooked in it from the outset (I use 'lucky kitchen' BBQ Pork frozen dumplings from Woolies, personally, and they're always fully done by the time the noodles are)

Ahahaha, holy shit this guy is in deep
A screenshot of the following Facebook thread of comments, one original comment and two replies:

Walter Ruf
Its a far stretch to call Charlie Kirk a "Moderate". He was an ultra-right-wing, self-righteous, and intolerant Christian Nationalist who publicly endorsed the death penalty for gay people. He wasn't a man who openly called for violence, but he planted ideas. At events and in podcasts, Kirk quoted or referred to Leviticus 20:13:
"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."
Charlie Kirk placed the Word of God above everything, including love and tolerance. He spoke positively about killing people who didn't conform to his values. He willingly accepted deaths by firearms, and he condemned empathy as a sick, woke fad.
In the Book of Hosea, in the same anthology where, under Leviticus, the death penalty for homosexual acts was called for, it says, "He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind!"
I find it difficult to truly feel grief for him here, he died by the sword he forged!
Careful what you wish for....

Samwise Robert McHale
Walter Ruf yet in your country of Germany a million Syrians were allowed in and their religion condemns being gay and you said NOTHING. They then proceeded to assault women and target kids and you did NOTHING.

I'll admit that I was a bit confused by your comment initially, but after reading I get it now. May be worth including a snip of relevant text to pre-empt those who want to shoot from the hip?
Valens discussed the situation further in a Twitch stream Sunday morning, in which she claimed that Savage Ventures had previously worried about how Waypoint articles covering sexual or political topics might affect the site’s performance on Google. Valens said on stream that “I’ve been told very specifically with a number of articles that it’s an issue with… Google, Google overlords. We actually had to fight very hard to keep some of our more politically-oriented VTuber coverage up because [Savage Ventures] were nervous it was going to be too R-rated for Google… I was told especially [of issues with] Google Discover.” Valens pointed out on stream that the July 19 article had spread particularly widely on social media, including Reddit.

That fourth one is like the dystopian version of a Canberra bus stop
A typical Canberra bus stop with one of the iconic cream-coloured 'bunker' concrete shelters. Hey, I lost my old corolla to hitting a roo on the highway like that, I get it - drove me home but there was enough damage that it just wasn't worth fixing up. This though isn't even major denting on a new car - no way in hell is that totalled.
A silver car with dents and scratches to the driver side doors, though centred on the rear door. I see worse cars still going about their business on the road not that infrequently, and this is from living in a rich area. I'll also note that although I say "driver side" it is of course the incorrect left side of the car, because the crash happened in Yankeeland.

All these squish up against each and end up in a weird place. My game still needs a lot of work (and that's largely on hold until I clear my head of various other projects like the Warhammer that keeps sneaking onto my desk somehow). But it also tickles the part of my brain that does this nonsense.
A force org chart for a Company size force from the 'Alliance to Restore the Republic' designed for conflicts set during the Galactic Civil War era - basically Rebel Alliance troops, from the Original Trilogy/classic continuity of Star Wars.

Forces are grouped into streams of HQ, Ops (Operatives), Units (basic infantry), Support (aides, recon, droids, etc.) and Vehicles. There is a key detailing the classification and relationship of some units as depicted by the chart, as well as the colour coding. This is most everything you would use to build an army in a game of 'Star Clas' (preliminary title), as my goal is to design a scenario-based game that is focused on the asymettric conflict rather than being a points or tournament style pick-up game. I think the actual chart is too complex to fully spell out in alt-text without making something very unusable, but please reach out if you have any comments/questions as I'd love to talk more needlessly (even if I truly did lose the originally quoted discussion).

Surely this is at least partly people who first saw it depicted in other media with a slightly different pose? My reference point for it (for better or for worse) is an old footy card, and is fist to chin instead of the full knuckle-sucking.
Dynamic Marketing Trading Card from 1994 "Artoons" number 125 with an illustration by Paul Harvey showing Chris McDermott of the Adelaide Crows posed similarly but not identically to 'The Thinker', drawn in a lighter green than the bronze colour, wearing a hooped Crows guernsey in the iconic red blue and yellow, and absent-mindedly holding a newspaper without looking at it. It is important to note that McDermott played for the Crows from their entry to the VFL in 1991 until 1996, and so would go on to miss the premiership wins (also called flags in Australian football) in 1997 and 1998.

The text on the reverse of the card is not visible, but reads:

Rodin's "The Thinker" inspired this illustration of Chris McDermott by Cartoonist Paul Harvey. McDermott looks and plays like he's been carved out of granite. He's "The Thinker" dreaming of the Crow's first flag.

I would run movies in the background while doing Uni assignments, once Dune (2021) came out the slow pace, epic scale and vast soundtrack saw it displace the previous rotation and just become the mono background. Still love it as a watching movie, too.
A crowd of Sadurkar neatly lined up and divided under the watchful eye of their officer who leads the droning chant I could not do justice for. Most of the visible crowd is under a looming shadow and there are enormous drop-ships in the background, speaking to the brutalist scale of structures in this movie.

I'm not sure they photograph well, as a rule (although an Australian 'big breakfast' isn't the exactly 'full English')
A photographed big breakfast from a TripAdvisor review of The Second Home Cafe in Rouse Hill, a suburb in the Northwest of Sydney. It shows a large round white plate with toast, poached eggs, hash brown, bacon, sausage, fried mushroom and tomato and controversially some slices of what I think are chorizo. I have never been to this cafe, and despise Sydney so probably won't, but it looks like it'd be pretty good if you were into that sort of thing. There's also a light garnish sprinkled on top because of course cafes have to go out of their way to be annoying

I think the Australian Labor Party should be given a 👍🏻 for at least registering on the "try something" scale, even if they have been far from ideal.
The beginning of an article from the Australian Financial Review by Political correspondent Ronald Mizen dated February 22 2025 at 10:30pm

Headline: Albanese makes $8.5b Medicare overhaul his signature election policy

Body: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will make Medicare the centrepiece of his re-election campaign, promising to spend about $8 billion over four years to boost payments to doctors who eliminate out-of-pocket costs for patients.

At a rally in Launceston on Sunday, Albanese will announce that a re-elected Labor government will broaden an existing incentive paid to doctors who don’t charge patients out-of-pocket fees – known as bulk billing – and create a new top-up payment for clinics that bulk bill for every visit.

A young man with long brown curly hair and a short stands in plain steel armour worn over a black gambeson looking out an open wooden door in what is, to be honest, a fairly dirty regional sports club changerooms. Besides him is a cream coloured canvas wrapped shield whose large, round edge belies the pool noodle padding used for LARP. The shield has hand painted heraldry that I can no longer remember the correct description of, but is a Germanic goat-headed eagle with a shield at its heart that bears a knightly cross. Along the top of the shield in gothic script are the German words "Helfen, Wehren, Heilen" meaning "Help, Defend, Heal".

I run a very serious painting league, the consultative democratic model is important
A discord poll, viewed in dark mode, asking the question "Should cubes be automatically transferred to eggs (where possible) at the conclusion of the league, or should people be allowed to handicap their own score for literally no functional reason other than maybe spite and/or sheer cube enjoyment?"

Two possible answers are given, of which only one can be selected.

1. "Yes, egg is the pinnacle of geometry"
2. "No, a cuboid populace deserves the right to choose"

No context or explanation for these terms is provided

It's definitely not just Americans (although I'm sure as always they're the best at being weird about it) - Australian footy and rugby league do ANZAC day matches which hit a similar level.

The baseline is for Games Workshop miniatures (simply titled GW) which has a Decimal Expression of 0.0185 and a Point Ratio of 1. A twitter photo post of a grey haired man with short moustache and beard holds a bud light looks at the camera with a wearied expression. He is very low in the frame, suggesting a photo taken with either very little of care, experience, or both.
