Can we give a shout out to LOGO? 🐢 🤓 ⭐️
When reflecting on some of my earliest interactions in an educational setting, the Logo program came to mind. I distinctly remember being brought as a whole class to the “computer lab” and being promised that we would be learning an “amazing new tool” to help us learn all about computers while having fun. Just being able to sit down at a computer keyboard was exciting at the time, and we all looked forward to this part of the day. The “Turtle” was basically the cursor in this program, and using standard commands we were learning the basics of programming. We could draw geometric shapes! I remember reflecting that, “there must be more to this machine”, and wondering why we were resigned to play on “Logo” every time we went to the computer lab. Now as I reflect, I realize that the educators were also still learning how to use this “computer” in education as well, and they taught us how to use this program because it came with a guide and they could understand it. (Well, it wasn’t that complicated). Overall, now this has me reflecting about whether or not we as current educators are providing enough rich and meaningful experiences with the technology that most students have at their fingertips.

It gets worse daily bc everyone is willfully ignorant of 2025’s agenda-this should be ALL the🌎sees on repeat until EVERYONE regains their basic human decency&starts to general strike/demanding that our leaders stop ignoring civilians being trafficked/killed🇺🇦🇵🇸🇺🇸as we’re losing OUR rights/freedom too🫤
The white house is posting a picture of “the magic deportation bus”with the caption: Please let this be a normal field trip

The fact that the 🌎 is normalizing this instead of general striking/demanding that their leaders STOP participating in 2025’s agenda, is a horrific example of how we have lost our humanity to complicity condone what we once swore would never happen again

Meanwhile, 🇨🇦 looks down their nose at the 🇺🇸 while boasting that Ford’s “getting tough on Trump” when Ford is actually selling Ontario out TO the 🇺🇸 by selling off Ontario healthcare to 🇺🇸 corporations eg:(Life Labs), forcing teachers to buy only from Staples etc & Ford is allowing people like Galen Weston to gouge us for groceries.

Ontario is on 🔥 & voters need to educate themselves WHY & STOP voting for people like Ford who left people to die this summer w/ no forest fire warnings or help to evacuate their burning homes.

MSM didn’t make a big enough deal about this. Ontarians aren’t paying attention & they should be furious!

Hold. Elected. Officials. Accountable!

Canadian companies
Canadian companies are playing key roles in the effort to tap what Price said could be one of the world's largest oil basins. The drilling rig is courtesy of Stampede Drilling Inc., a Calgary-based outfit normally active across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Quebec City-based shipping firm Desgagnés is handling transport.
The prize could be enormous, to the tune of 13 billion barrels of gross oil, according to an independent estimate from energy consultancy firm Sproule ERCE. Price likens the potential to the Prudhoe Bay field in Alaska discovered some six decades ago and forming the state's economic backbone since.
Price said that samples taken from
Jameson Land show the oil is akin to the crude long produced further east, off the shores of the United Kingdom and Norway.

Frigate birds, whom I ADORE, can fly continuously for 2 months!! My happy place is watching them ride thermals oceanside in Mexico💙
A majestic frigate bird soaring through a clear blue sky with it’s expansive wings Frigate birds can stay in continuous flight for up to two months (about 56 days) without touching land or water.

Their ability to pull off such extreme airborne endurance comes down to a few incredible adaptations:

Atmospheric Soaring: They ride warm thermal updrafts inside cumulus clouds, allowing them to glide for massive distances without a single wing-flap.

No Swimming Allowed: They lack waterproof feathers, meaning they can't land on the water to rest or take off again without drowning.

Sleeping on the Wing: While soaring, they can nap mid-flight by resting only one half of their brain at a time.

Dynamic Feeding: They pluck flying fish and squid from the ocean surface on the fly, or steal food from other birds.

David MacNaughton (President, Palantir Canada): Appointed to head the Canadian subsidiary around 2019–2020, MacNaughton is a former Canadian ambassador to the United States and a key figure in the company's expansion in Canada.

I’m hoping this will be un done 😔 Creating new development puts way too much pressure on these birds
The Ontario government is transferring significant portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the local municipality to facilitate tourism development, potentially threatening the critical habitat of the endangered Piping Plover. The plan involves developing parts of the beach, creating environmental concerns over the removal of long-standing provincial protections.
Canada's National Observer
Canada's National Observer
 +2
Key details regarding the development include:
Targeted Land: The plan affects over 60 per cent of Wasaga Beach, including sand dunes and nesting areas for the endangered Piping Plover, which are reliant on protected shoreline.
Development Plans: The province is facilitating this change with a $38 million investment to boost tourism.
Endangered Species Concerns: Conservationists warn that removing these areas from provincial park oversight could lead to habitat destruction through increased development and mechanical beach cleaning.
Government Stance: The province claims that despite the land transfer, Species at Risk Act protections will continue to apply to the habitat.

Despite public opposition, the government is moving forward with the transfer, which critics argue sets a dangerous precedent for the development of protected public land.

A tale as old as time… www.thehistoryreader.com/historical-f...
Hitler’s American Friends: Henry Ford and Nazism
by Bradley W. Hart

Over the past century, Ford has become one of the most iconic American brands, from its line of pickup trucks to the Mustang. The company’s first car, the Model T, broke ground and helped create the modern automotive industry. Yet what few people know today is that the company’s founder, Henry Ford, not only held deeply prejudiced personal views but also became one of Hitler’s key American friends in the years before the war. To its credit, the Ford Motor Company has made some efforts to come to terms with this troubling history, but there is still more work to be done. As we’ll see, Ford’s views were more than just a private matter—they translated into real-world action that had a major effect on Germany’s military preparedness before World War II. Certainly, Ford was far from the only American businessman who was enticed by Nazi Germany. His rival—General Motors—had a German division of its own and manufactured aircraft parts for the Luftwaffe.

MAGAts are Nazis Including the 🍁MAGA in🇨🇦 punching down on the disabled, immigrants & minorities Canadians need to stop legitimizing hate by allowing 🍁MAGAts to”just ask questions” or spreader their willful ignorance as a counterpoint to actual science or reality We need to stop voting for Nazis
Just a reminder, because I think we legitimately forget sometimes:
Nazis weren't just the guys who ushered people into the gas chambers. They weren't just the politicians signing the orders to invade other countries, or the generals ordering their troops to execute civilians.
Nazis were also the people who joined the party because it was the social thing to do. They were the people who looked the other way when their Jewish neighbors were hauled off.
They were the actors who put their careers above the lives of others in order to take roles in propaganda films. They were the civilians who asked "But what do we do about the Jewish problem?" and expected a legitimate answer.
THOSE PEOPLE WERE NAZIS TOO.
So when I say you're acting like a Nazi, I'm not saying you're the one throwing the switch on the gas chambers or pulling the trigger on a gun. I'm saying you are legitimizing and supporting a political ideology which harms other people, and history will prove you wrong.

Biodiesel is a renewable, biodegradable fuel manufactured domestically from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant grease. Biodiesel meets both the biomass-based diesel and overall advanced biofuel requirement of the Renewable Fuel Standard. Renewable diesel is distinct from biodiesel

In response, Demand Justice President Josh Orton released the following statement:

“Instead of demonstrating courage and standing up to Donald Trump, who is weaponizing the Department of Justice and personally ordering the indictment of his political enemies, Democratic Senators Durbin, Coons, Klobuchar, Schiff, Welch, and Whitehouse capitulated. These potential federal judges, like all of Trump’s nominees, had to pledge loyalty to Trump by both refusing to tell the truth about who won the 2020 election, and refusing to acknowledge the insurrection of January 6, 2021.

“In this moment, we need leaders with backbone. History will not look kindly on those who express righteous indignation about Trump on social media, then turn around and enable him by voting for his judges. Talking the talk is not enough and Demand Justice will hold these Democratic Senators accountable.”Here are the seven Democratic senators who voted for Noem:

Sen. John Fetterman (Pa.)

Sen. Maggie Hassan (N.H.)

Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.)

Sen. Andy Kim (N.J.)

Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years

Yes, global and regional excess mortality has remained significantly higher than 2019 levels in the years following 2020.

Despite the easing of the pandemic, excess deaths in many regions, including the U.S., continued to rise in 2022 and 2023, driven by COVID-19, other causes, and strained healthcare systems, notes Boston University.

Continued Trend: Data indicates that even post-pandemic, excess mortality has not returned to the baseline levels established in 2019.

Persistent Highs: Studies show that in 2022 and 2023, U.S. excess deaths did not return to pre-pandemic levels.

Global Context: While 2020 and 2021 saw massive peaks, elevated, though lower, levels of excess deaths have persisted in various regions, according to data from Our World in Data.

State owned grocery is a great idea! Carney&Trudeau are/were failing to enforce the Canadian Healthcare Act- especially when Ford made $40B in fed$ for healthcare vanish & still hasn’t explained where it went Ford’s not allowed to just give Ontarians a death sentence so he can privatize healthcare
What the CHA Covers (and Doesn't)
Covered: Medically necessary hospital care (e.g., surgery, diagnostics, nursing) and physician services (doctors).

Not Mandated: Services outside the Act, like prescription drugs, dental care, eye exams, and long-term care, vary by province, though most provide some coverage.

Provincial Role
Provinces and territories deliver healthcare and decide the specifics of what's covered, but must adhere to the CHA's principles to receive federal funding.

Enforcement
The federal government can reduce or withhold cash transfers (Canada Health Transfer) if provinces fail to meet the CHA's criteria.

🇨🇦as well-we refuse to address femicide in our general population or genocide against indigenous peoples MAID targets women forced to live in fed/prov legislated poverty-see track2 deaths Canadians like to act like fascism doesn’t already have a stronghold here but our body count speaks volumes😔
In 🇨🇦 most disability claims are denied the 1st time. IF your claim is approved, people receive LESS THAN HALF of the amount they would need to live at the poverty line

MAID (death)has been offered while needed support is denied to Canadians

Track 1 (Natural death reasonably foreseeable): Men are more likely to receive MAID under Track 1 (52.2% men vs. 47.8% women in 2024). These cases are most commonly associated with cancer as the underlying condition, which has a higher mortality burden for men

Track 2 (Natural death not reasonably foreseeable): Women are more likely to receive MAID under Track 2 (56.7% women vs. 43.3% men in 2024). These recipients often live with long-term chronic conditions (such as neurological conditions, frailty, or chronic pain) for many years.

The higher proportion of women in Track 2 is consistent with general population health trends where women are more likely to experience long-term chronic illnesses that cause enduring suffering but would not typically result in a reasonably foreseeable death.
