7 panel comic featuring my splatoon OC, Daze. The first panels start with a saturated negative shape language showing ink splatters and as you descend the page the saturation is reduced to greyscale. The panels flip between scenes from competitive solo queue to a sobering conversation between Daze and a random competitor covering his fears as a competitor falling behind. The script is as follows:
Daze: "We had seen it happen semi-often--teams around us getting unwarranted antagonization. It made stagnation a death sentence. The pressure to improve drove a lot of them to see more differences amongst themselves and to eventually disband."
"So I have to improve somehow. I want to have the best chances of that never happening to us. I wouldn't be here without my team. I wouldn't be this happy. I owe it to them. What if I can't even win for them? What then?"

Im justifying dousers being harder bc theyre so flimsy that theyre hard to feel like youre actually having an impact on a match. I dont think any dualies are mechanically easy (though some are easierrrr) so how Im judging their difficulty has to incorporate decision making, easy of impact, etc

Yeah pretty close. Depends on my mood but rn im going squelchies> glooga> vdualie>dousers>tetra>dapples. If im feeling less combative dousers could drop 1 or 2 spots but i really wanted to get across that I think people overstate how hard tetras are lol

All dualies are very mechanically taxing and you have to track through your rolls on other dualies anyways, you just arent also going to be dealing damage during that tracking, so lowkey I call that a benefit to tetra. I also find it much easier to mess w enemy aim on tetra
