Nelson Mandela is the First Age Dragon: Liberated his people through perseverance and struggle Endured unending physical and mental torment Led uMkhonto weSizwe ("Spear of the Nation") just like the algai'd'siswai ("Dancers of the Spear") Face of the national currency, he is literally Rand #WoTSkies

#WotShowSpoilers So...S3 dedicated entire story arcs, actor casting and valuable screentime to Sammael and Melindhra, for what payoff exactly? And we give up Asmodean for that? When we're struggling for time and the editing makes episodes feel like montages, not a wise choice. #WoTSkies #WheelOfTime

Very good season finale for #WheelOfTime S3! Great way to conclude several arcs while leaving the story open to continue. Definitely has some directing and editing issues (S3 fan edit incoming!), and certainly doesn't deliver the same punch as the books, but it's a "good for TV" closer. #WoTSkies

Sigh, we're back to shot-reverse shot dialog and scenes that don't move plot or characters by much. Filler episode with micro-progress across many short scenes cutting between parties, I dislike this "slog" writing and editing. I hope the rest of S3 is better #WheelOfTime #WoTSkies #WoTShowSpoilers

I decided to experiment by cutting the Rhuidean sequence in chronological order. It works rather well as a way to see the story unfold front to back and follow Rand's ancestors through time. Download and watch, don't forget to turn on subtitles! youtu.be/3yOfoWEq94g #WoTSkies #WheelOfTime

Here it is. I cut the #WheelOfTime Rhuidean sequence into chronological order front to back. If you need to make sense of the sequence of events this is a good way to watch it unfold through time. Don't forget to enable subtitles! Enjoy! drive.google.com/drive/folder... #WoTSkies

My first #WheelOfTime fan edit experiment for S3: I cut the Rhuidean sequence into chronological order so you can follow the events from start to end. It actually works well as a rewatch to mentally piece the story together. Let me know if you're interested and I'll share a link. #WoTSkies

FUCKING NAILED IT! NAILED!!! IT!!! #WoTSkies #WheelOfTime I have only 2, MAJOR nitpicks: 1. WHY would you give away a character in Old Tongue/subtitles instead of allowing us to be blindsided by an on-screen reveal?!?! I'm removing that in the fan edit for SURE! 2. Veil/kill inconsistency again!

As #WheelOfTime S3 launches, this review of my S1&2 fan edits just came in. I LOVE hearing from folks watching the edit with friends. It's a great way for new fans to get into the show before S3 without time for a full S1&2 watch. Also makes for great rewatch to see the story in a new way. #WoTSkies

A screenshot of a review of the Wheel of Time season 1 and season fan edits. The text of the review reads as follows:
"So, I recently finished both the season 1 edit and this (season 2) edit and I am blown away by how great they were and how you made the story more enjoyable and focused, at least for me. I did watch season 1 with a friend who said they were kind of lost on who was who and their stories but as someone who read the books and watched both of these series when they came out, I really think the work you and Womprat put in was excellent. Just wanted to let y'all know how much I appreciated the work you put in."

Now THAT'S how you open a new season, by FAR the best cold open we've had in the entire show! This could finally create the buzz that brings casual viewers in in big numbers. It's a great benchmark and opening salvo, let's have this quality and pacing all season. #WheelOfTime #WoTSkies

Well #WheelOfTime trailer looks like a BANGER! Fingers crossed it translates directly onto screen during the full season. Three massive plot lines should provide plenty of momentum pushing the story forward. Once again wanna point out that S3 is shot in WIDESCREEN. Should look cinematic! #WoTSkies

It's amazing to receive such positive feedback on my #WheelOfTime fan edit, especially from a WoT content creator with their own podcast! It validates that I managed to "nail" down a solid film focused on the EF5. I look forward to joining the podcast to discuss S2 edit, and to editing S3! #WoTSkies

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy...your cut of the first season is legit CANON for me, the changes u made made it infinitely better! I'm gonna rewatch the episodes and see if I'm tripping or not...I'm so excited to watch your season two cut!!! Can't wait to have u on (the podcast)!!

#WheelOfTime S2 is significantly more "branching" vs S1, with our protagonists spread out all over the map. For S2 fan edit which I cut into a film "The Dragon Reborn", I added location titles to give a sense of "place" so we know where our characters are. It's small but improves the film. #WoTSkies

It shows an overhead shot of a beige brick and stonework homestead, surrounded on all sides by a grove of trees of various types. #WheelOfTime S2 fan edit is DONE! After a LONG hiatus, I finally knuckled down and finished it. 4h28m from a S2 length of 8h54m, it was a HELLUVA instructive exercise in understanding the structure of plot and character arcs, scenes, dialogs and even individual line and word choices. #WoTSkies 🧵👇:

#WheelOfTime fan edit rough cut for S2 is DONE! A 4h42m extended film, not a bad effort considering almost 9h footage in the season. The fan edit focuses on our main protagonists and is a tighter, cohesive story leading to the final conflict. Now for beta review and further polish! #WoTSkies
