Making my annual playlist from student's suggestions (a whole other fun-sad story) to show Ancient Greek gov by playing Who Decides The Music. While on yotube, this gem came back up. I can never resist replaying it when suggested. Thanks @worriers.bsky.social & everyone else involved. #evh #prince

One of my favorite bands of the past decade, Worriers, played their final LA show last night. Fantastic as always, sounding intimately anthemic. Sad that they’re wrapping up, but thank you to @worriers.bsky.social for the great music and wishing them the best on their next creative pursuits.

Tour starts a week from Saturday and I am officially going to start being annoying about it. Five shows then that’s it. Last chance. We’re playing some old ones. It’s gonna be fun.

The other four are demos of our first four songs, including “All I Ever Wanted”, the original title for “Jinx”, that were recorded in Brooklyn with the original 3-piece lineup of the band - myself, Justin Sullivan, and Mike Catalano.

To commemorate this wild anniversary, we’re including 5 demos with purchase of the album and an edition of 100 signed and numbered postcards with physical copies. I found one of Chasing that we recorded in Michigan late at night on a cassette deck that for some reason also includes a xylophone.

Years later I am still so proud of these songs, of their message, and what they’ve meant to other people. I’m eternally grateful for the connections I’ve formed with friends and fans over the lyrics. It feels like a completely separate lifetime, but I love what we made and want to celebrate it.

10 years ago, Worriers released our first album “Imaginary Life”. We drove out to Rancho Recordo in Michigan (to this day my favorite studio) & with the help of engineer Marc Jacob Hudson & producer Laura Jane Grace, we recorded 12 songs. It’s both personal & political, punk but also pop.

Can you tell many bands are exhausted posting reminders like these? I feel wild about it. This record is on an independent label that I personally really believe in and love and they ALSO deserve your support. It’s really why I keep reminding yall to buy the record. @ejrc.bsky.social forever.

I think about watching Hurray for the Riff Raff play solo while standing on a picnic bench in the back of a bar in Brooklyn a lot more than I could’ve anticipated.
