I fixed it! Yesterday I desoldered the pots I had mixed up, and replaced the melted pot with a new one❤️

Here's the result of the mixed up trim pots:

Soon I'll get to use this beautiful module... I just got a snag because I mixed up two trim pots🫣

And now (most of) the rails have been screwed in place!

Some progress on my eurorack case: I screwed the PSU in place, but I noticed there was only space for two screws... I glued a wooden panel next to it to keep it in place. I also screwed the bus board in place! I just need some longer screws to fit the nuts.

From schematic to holding the PCB in my hand😀

The PCBs are being drilled by an automated arm. In front of the drill is a computer keyboard, and parts of a lit screen are visible on the right-hand side of the picture.

I finally put the power switch and power socket in place in my eurorack case!

•Decoupling caps added •Added lo-pass filter to the feedback loop of the op-amps •Changed some resistor values to reduce noise •Moved things around so they would fit better (filled the upper right corner, for example) •Not pictured: increased via size and pot mounting holes to make the etching work

I recently got into electronics, mostly to be able to make my own eurorack modules. After almost a almost a week I created this 6-channel mixer based on the distorting 3-channel mixer by Moritz Klein. This is an older version of the schematic

I got new rails and assembled all the infrastructure of the case! I haven't mounted anything yet though. It's very satisfying to be able to just close the case and put it on top of my closet though!

The rails have been placed in a hinged case. The inside of both the top and bottom part of the case are made out of wood, but the rest of the case is a silvery metal. Probably aluminium.

A picture of the rails in the case, but this time, the rails have been raised to the right height. Under the rails you can see a power supply unit and a bus board. However, they have not been screwed in place yet. There are a few modules (sparsely) attached to the two 3U rows.

The case is closed and placed on the top of my closet.

- När Uppsalastudenten Sarah var 15 år gammal gick hennes mamma hastigt bort. För att barnen inte skulle hamna på fosterhem, reste mostern till USA och tog med sig Sarah och hennes tre yngre syskon till Sverige. De får inte överklaga beslutet och kan när som helst tvingas ur landet.

Actually, it seems to be (mostly) resolved. I tried the brackets I got with the rails again, and while the lower 3U row seems to be annoyingly tight, it's doable.
