@pandottermon.bsky.social and @scihoss.bsky.social got me this cute bag while they were on vacation. So, so nice of them!

Weird, because I love how they tell you so much about the person who owns them. Take mine for example. In seconds, you can infer my interests and education:

"How do I get these RSS feeds the readers ask for?" If you can't find the RSS link on a site's main page (ctrl-f works wonders), sometimes you get what you want by slapping "/feed" or "/rss" on the page URL. If you get a download prompt, you're good (and cancel the download).

What an RSS link tries to make you download. It's not useful to you, but your RSS reader will want the link that points to this. They'll gobble this up on their own and give you delicious, minimal-bullshit content in return!

Hell yeah there are mobile apps for this. Tons of them. This is the one I use. See? Rise above the internet nonsense.

There's a lot to talk about, so here's a taste of what I'm talking about: No bullshit, basically no ads, no wasting time checking different sites or keeping data-sniffing apps to keep up to date. The internet works for *you*, not the corpos:

A browser-based RSS reader (Miniflux) listing some entries under the "news" category. Note the lack of adverts and the no-bullshit presentation.

One of the entries in the RSS reader's "News" category. Note the no-bullshit, no adverts presentation. Nothing's snooping on you here. It's nice!

I spent most of my life in Southern Missouri, but my parents took great pains to get the hillbilly out of my accent. I guess they turned to what they heard when they were in the USAF in California as a reference.

Hey car critters, any recs on what I can use to cut through this built-up gunk on the steering wheel without damaging the material?

Excluding airport layovers, I can't say I've been to much of the country. Unfortunately, it's hard to color the map more when so much of the country is hostile to my existence...

Weird creep from my online RP community continues to be weird creep, over a decade later without interaction. I don't just live free in his head, it's practically generational real estate.

Took @jakkal.bsky.social out to a Brazilian steakhouse so we could both try it out. Definitely the best steakhouse I've ever been to.

It's a grey day outside, so grey (and ultra-casual) outfit it is.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention that I finally completed the primary mission in Dyson Field Program! Ended up completing a ring structure for energy along the way. It's tempting to go back and make some more efficient blueprints, but I have a billion other builder games to get to and finish.

It was a nice day, so I wore the outfit! Added some silver rings and crescent necklace.
