A fascinating quirk of early US anime VHS releases is how many distributors insisted on subtitling song lyrics with their own writing, often having almost nothing to do with the original meaning or lyrics. Nearly every label did this, and few knew enough Japanese back then to push back.

It is WILD to see borderline mainstream press and non-nerd social media talking about The Anime Business and the Spice Girls anime. Bizarrely, its view count is not what I would expect, given all that viral attention. Like, it's fine, in line with the other eps, but you'd never know it blew up.
