According to a draft published by Saudi business outlet Asharq, which fits public remarks made by Mladenov in recent months, Israel would first be required to fulfill obligations it has not met during the 10 months that have passed since the hostage release agreement was signed in October 2025.
These include halting all military operations in Gaza, allowing the entry of 4,200 aid trucks per week, removing restrictions from fuel and cooking gas shipments, fully and gradually reopening the Rafah crossing in coordination with Egypt, and beginning the reconstruction of Gaza's water, sewage and hospital infrastructure.

Prime Minister of Canada

Dear Prime Minister Carney.
We write today as members of Michigan's congressional delegation to raise our voices on an issuc that has already drawn letters from our colleagues in past years: wildfire smoke drifting across the border from Canada into our communities. Additionally, last year, Reps. James and Bergman cach wrote letters to your government to raise the alarm about wildfire smoke pouring across our border from Canada into our communities. We write jointly this time because a year has passed, the scason has come around again, and nothing has changed except that our patience
Our constituents in Michigan are once again under air quality alerts. Our hospitals are once again treating children, dialysis patients, and older residents for the effects of smoke that did not originate anywhere near them. This is the third consocutive year we have had to write to Canadian officials about a crisis that Canada has the tools to prevent and has chosen not to.
We were told last year that this would be treated with urgency. It was not. We were told the causes, chronic under-investment in forest thinning, fuel roduction, and prescribed burns, along with inadequate enforcement against arson, were being addressed. They were not, or not adequately enough to matter to the people we represent. Provincial leaders have offered excuses instead of results, and in some cases have openly dismissed the health of American citizens as an inconvenience to their own summer. That attitude is unacceptable from a neighbor and an ally.
We are done accepting apologies in place of action. If Canada will not manage its forests to prevent these fires, the United States will look elsewhere, and act on our own, to protect our people. That means our own agencies exploring direct involv…

14 The Board of Peace is taking a page out of Israel's repressive playbook
Omar Shakir
'By unilaterally declaring the power to seize Palestinian land, property and buildings for their own use without consent, compensation or redress, the Board of Peace is taking a page out of Israel's repressive playbook," said Omar Shakir, executive director at Dawn, a nonprofit dedicated to investigating the impacts of US foreign policy in the Middle East. "Far from signaling an end to genocide, apartheid and occupation, this document suggests entrenching some of its ugliest signature characteristics. This risks not only complicity, but direct perpetration of grave abuses."
Several attorneys raised questions about the Board of Peace's legal authority to assume control of public facilities and premises.
"If they don't have a status of forces agreement with Israel, then it's not clear what the board's legal authority would be," said Brad Parker, associate director of policy at the Center for Constitutional Rights. CCR attorneys have represented victims in US…

Not all genocide is as cruel as sentencing
people to agonizing conditions that lead to unbearable suffering and eventually death by removing access to life-supporting infrastructure. Kol ha kavod to Amira Hass for exposing this fiendish plan which should move Israel one more notch up the scale of pariah infamy. Meanwhile, governments around the world, chanting "two-state solution" as if it were some magical incantation absolving them of responsibility to act, are by their inaction allowing a slow motion genocide to proceed. There can be no Palestinian state if there are no
Palestinians--which is not just a tautology but a strategy.

"In this regard, claims may arise that even if the application of sovereignty as a general rule is a legitimate purpose, it is improper, in a democratic country that sees itsell as part of the international community, to act to achieve the aforementioned purpose through this bill; i.e., without an official political decision by the government, without a broad in-depth examination of the move, and of its impact on the residents of the area and on security and political aspects," Sela wrote, adding that the topic also does not fall under the Education Committee's scope.

Impact on human development and infrastructure
The report characterizes the situation as a catastrophic collapse of human development.
Beyond the physical rubble, the institutional frameworks for education and healthcare have been dismantled. According to the document, the restoration of basic human services will require a coordinated international response that exceeds traditional humanitarian aid models. The electrical grid, which was already under significant strain prior to recent events, is currently non-functional in most sectors, necessitating a complete overhaul rather than simple repairs. Similarly, water desalination and sewage treatment facilities have sustained damages that pose immediate risks to public health through groundwater contamination.

If the Iranian regime indeed collapses — or undergoes
"Venezuelization," meaning it remains formally intact while bending to American dictates —
Israel will claim a prominent seat at the table shaping a new
Middle Eastern order.
Such an order, based on the unchecked use of force, could grant Israel wider latitude not only to "restrain" Iran but to accelerate annexation in the West Bank and crush the Gaza Strip. It is very possible, too, that Netanyahu's timing is tied to his desire to forestall any transition to a second phase of the ceasefire in Gaza.

Have heard from an Iranian friend that her partner in Teheran has sent her a message. He is a leftist and is telling her that the US/Israelis are targeting a number of known leftists homes in Teheran and elsewhere in an attempt to make sure there's no opposition to their favoured candidate once they destroy the regime. What this reveals is the degree of penetration by Mossad in Iran.
What it also means is that this is not going to be an easy occupation for the

For those looking forward to a Pahlavi government run by Israel, worth looking at the previous Shah's achievment. His secret police, SAVAK, was one of the most innovative at the time. Backed fully by the CIA they tried out new forms of torture and boasted about their man-sized toaster. Political prisoners were stripped bare and put in this toaster, one at a time and it was switched on so that human fronts and backs could be
"toasted' at one go. Many died. Others were maimed for life. I spoke with other prisoners who had been made to watch this torture so they would break. Some did. And many Iranians remember those days. They won't be easily persuaded to accept another Pahlavi. It was in any case a two-rulers dynasty created by Britain and sustained by the United States.

Let's be very clear: free fire zones in which civilians can be killed on sight is a flat violation of international law. There is absolutely no excuse for that, whether or not the "yellow line" is clear. Every soldier in the world should know that, and every soldier who shoots at civilians on such an unlawful basis should go to jail. Also if the soldier is an Israeli. It is a scandal that western
governments pretend that this is somehow
OK because it is Israel. It is a clear example
of Israeli lawlessness.

Israel kills Gazans daily in incidents in which the person(s) - 'crossed the Yellow Line and approached IDF soldiers posing a threat so the soldiers opened fire, no Israelis were injured.'
Now if militants were wanting to attack IDF soldiers there are apparently a multitude of weapons still in militant hands and why would individuals need to approach the IDF soldiers?
As is stated to have happened here if militants they would in all probability shoot at the soldiers from a distance. And if actual trained members of Hamas or other
organized group would be using weaponry that would have had a reasonable chance of
actually inflicting casualties as in the attack that killed Feldbaum..
