That ceiling fan took me all day to do. My back and neck hurts. Proud of my work but do not want to do that again if I can help it. Three vanilla wafer roasted marshmallow with a dark chocolate chip cookies and a cream soda sounded good so here's to a job well done and my dessert for the next week

Also we racked the wALE (wine+ale) today. Barley wine of a (projected) 9%(higher than ale but lower than wine). We are spicing it with whole cinnamon stick and allspice berries. This will be our Christmas wine. Planning on heating it up for a warm drink in hopes of a more snow-centric winter.

Emptied primary fermentation jar. Barly and the leftover leese on the bottom.

Newly racked barley wALE while we discussed additional flavor profiles desired before backsweetening with honey later.

Half a cinnamon stick and allspice berries toasted before adding to the wALE

The wALE goes into secondary before we backsweeten with honey. (Probably end of October 2026 update)

Embyrr has been watching me play games on my tablet for a while now so I went looking for an app for her and found Cat Game. They have like 6 or 8 skins to choose from and we've tried a few but nothing keeps her attention longer than the fly so far. Her highest score yet 76.

Updated update: I don't know if he made it through the last several hours. He sent pics in his sunday clothes in a hotel room and said goodbye to me. Thanked me for being a light. I found his brother's profile and messaged him about it and his nephew's. Hopefully they got him. Just pray please.

Update: my friend survived the night. He's still at risk but I hate to say that's nothing new. I've known him since 2009. He's been this way for longer than I've known him & he's 16 years older than me. Prayers are mych needed & appreciated. Ultimately he is the only one that can better his life tho

For 20yrs I played nice w my dad out of love for my momma. But she's gone. Has been for over a year. My sister who's a saint for taking him in, has thankfully not taken her place as his hostage keeping me tied to the man. So I called it quits. And finally after 3 decades I'm free of his manipulation

Spent the day with the hubs to help him move his office at work from the 2nd floor to the basement. Went on his usual walk with him after lunch and it was the perfect day in temperature, cloudy skies and beautiful scenery.

That's bacon cheeseburger scalloped potatoes for dinner 🥰 I always over estimate the amount of potatoes needed and now have a ton left overnight refrigerated in lemon water. Going to have to make another batch for the freezer tomorrow I guess. 😅

Embyrr is just so smart. Less than 30 minutes after setting it up and showing her the tag proximity, placing the tag on her and she's already using it. A seriously smart cat. Probably the smartest cat I've ever had. Had her from stray feral kitten so I know she has zero prior experience with this.

Today's zuchini. Outside temps have lowered around us. Looks like fall is here earlier than normal. The zuchini are growing noticing slower now. This one barely grew an inch over two days.
