It made him wonder how much more of his friends' lives he'd missed because he had been stupid enough to think the world would wait for him while he poured all his emotions towards a dead end. A bottomless well that would take and take and would never give anything back. He knew his friends deserved better. He knew it was pointless. He knew he had to stop.

Knowing better had never done him any good, and Wooyoung's greedy heart would never learn its lesson.

Revenge wouldn't bring her father back to life; it wouldn't give her back her life as a sailor. It wouldn't set any wrongs right.

But it would make her feel the scores had been settled. It would set her free to chase the rest of her life - it worried her to think of that; she didn't know what she would do, who she would be without this singular objective to chase, but she always told herself she'd figure it out once she actually got there.

A sense of unrealness took hold of her as she looked around her cabin, her weapons hung on the walls, the map strewn across the table, the chair where Jongho had sat last night. For the first time since that night, she had a real opportunity to do what she had set out to do, to achieve her life's most fervent desire.

And she would do it, with or without her crew. With or without Mingi.

i got this yesterday and i wasn't gonna answer but i can't bcs lol anon 1) you were lurking on my page long enough to know i've been back 2) you waited around for me to put my pinned post up so you could send this to me on anon. why r u so obsessed lmao. and most importantly, 3) it took me 3 months to regain a slight semblance of normalcy, to feel like i could enjoy my favorite things again. my country is still in shambles and still under threat of military conflict and we the people will continue living in that fear. but you know what? life goes on. if there's one thing the war, no matter how short it was, taught me, it's that life goes on. thankfully i'm not severely physically injured, and I'm most certainly not dead, so i keep on living. and living includes doing things that motivate me and make me happy. like fandom. i'm trying to actively practice my hobbies again so i can be happy. or do i not have the right to be happy because i've been through "war"? sure it was short. sure 2 weeks might seem like nothing to you, but it was long enough. it's been 3 months and i still have nightmares and i know they won't stop. .

you know what, anon, you go live in a location where you can hear explosions and bombs and people screaming and crying everyday for 2 weeks and tell me what you'll do afterwards, tell me how you'll feel, hmm? i don't wish the horrors of war on anyone though, so maybe it's best if you think a bit before speaking. i've tried so hard not to give up. this is me not giving up. plus, anon, this is social media. this is the place i come to when i wanna ignore real life. you only see a smidgen of my life here. i might joke about being a yapper here but i don't talk about everything that goes on through my head all the time. i don't talk about the horrors of living in a 3rd world country post war with all the destruction and misery. this account is my fandom account. sure i post a bit about my daily life but you should remember that that's what i choose to share. it's barely representative of 1/10th of my real life. you don't know me, you don't know if i'm truly happy, if me posting about my fav video games and fav kpop boys and fav sports means i'm "happy" again. i suggest you fuck off my account and touch some grass. smh

Summary:
Hongjoong felt the rippling of the water against the boat before she saw Seonghwa, peeking her head out of the water behind her. Her midnight-black hair made her look alluringly majestic, but as always, it was her silver eyes that Hongjoong couldn't look away from. Still, she wondered what it would be like looking at her face with her hair pulled back, the lines of her face undisturbed by the wet black tendrils. She wanted to run her fingers across Seonghwa's cheeks, maybe just the back of one finger, slowly acquaint herself with the mermaid's skin. Hongjoong wondered if it would feel different to the touch compared to her own.

Why can't I string the words together? I just want to do something, put what I see behind my eyelids onto a screen, make it more real, more corporeal. I wanna write about pain, restrained and pushed down, forgotten about, ignored, but it doesn't stay that way, because pain demands to be felt. It needs to be expressed, whether we like it or not.
