I can see a number of terrible statues rushed into being by not very good sculptors sensing an opportunity.
Close up of the scary face on the statue of Lucille Ball is on the left. A photograph of a smiling Lucille Ball in real life is on the right.

Reading A Song for the Dark Times by Ian Rankin. Got back into my Rebus reading after years away. Enjoying them in the wrong order now though.

Is that a 'real' man crossing his legs? How will those manfluencers who harass men about their behaviour cope? #realmensithowtheywant #realmeneatsoupanddontcare #realmendonttellothermenhowtositorwhattoeat
Painting of a red coat soldier wearing a kilt and sitting, with his right leg crossed over his left. He is chatting and sitting between two young women with parasols in a rowing boat crossing to board a ship.

There's a pretty good children's book about it, so maybe the film will arrive one day. Obviously, it will only be filmed if Jude Law is in it as seems to be the case more often than not.

Every time I am in Cambridge, UK, I visit the American Cemetery & pay my respects. There was 'a big beautiful ocean' between these young people & the war, but they chose to stand up to tyranny. Their graves are testament to this noble and brave endeavour. Trump dishonours their sacrifice every day.
At the American Cemetery in Cambridge, UK. War graves of American service personnel killed in WW2. The graves are beautifully well cared for and have two small flags at each grave: one US flag and the UK flag.

Also, is she going to sue the lettuce?
Daily Star newspaper front page with the word 'Rejoice' and a picture of the victorious lettuce that outlived Truss as PM.

Merry Christmas, especially to the artist who created this robin to look just like Ted Heath.
A robin is standing on a fence post, surrounded by snowy fields. This robin is the spitting image of Ted Heath in robin form.
