Maine is done with Collins. Jackson is a known quantity. Hard worker, union guy. Most rural folks in Maine can relate to him. He's the guy at the general store yapping over heating fuel prices while he drinks a weak ass cup of black coffee.

Thank you! It happened, no point in rehashing. But I the I-told-you-so crowd is really disrespecting the Maine Voter who is looking for the progressive policies that Platner championed. Mills didn't, it's the reason her support was so low. The Maine Dems should respect that need.

We went to union halls, marches, and rallies to hear him speak. It was a grassroots campaign. Maine is a working poor state where we've all struggled and overcome shit. He had a good message. We granted grace, redemption. But there is a line.

As a Mainer, I need to get offline. Lots of folks have something to say about a man they do not have to vote for. The voters of Maine have to worry about another Susan Collins win and a Dem appointed by the state party who did not want a progressive candidate and has lost to Collins for 32 years.

But then a second form of id is required with the same name as your birth certificate. And it can't be a real ID, so a passport, which is 165.00. I have been broke ass poor in my life, this would still be a hard expense to cover...just to vote.

The law would require your id have the same name you were born with. Lots of married women would need birth certificate and passport. A 300.00 cost if you don't have these docs and hurt low income women. The bill is currently held up in the senate. It will be legally challenged if passed.
