Breaking - Swedish authorities have detained and boarded another Russian shadow fleet tanker. The Swedish Coast Guard along with police boarded the vessel around 2 p.m. today. The coast guard says the Jin Hui is suspected of sailing under a false flag and also of a “concerning lack of seaworthiness”

Update 2 - The Swedish Coast Guard says there are two preliminary investigations underway in the case of the detained shadow fleet tanker Flora 1. Alongside the criminal case into suspected environmental crimes, another prosecutor is investigating if the vessel is actually seaworthy. #Sweden

Breaking - Earlier today Swedish police and the coast guard intercepted and boarded an oil tanker suspected of causing a 12 km oil spill in the Baltic yesterday. The coast guard have identified the vessel as the ‘Flora 1,’ which is a Russian shadow fleet tanker and under EU sanctions. #Sweden

#Finland’s Defence Ministry says drones have violated Finnish airspace today. It says two drones crashed near Kouvola, a town near the Russian border. Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen “We are taking the matter very seriously.” He says authorities are at both crash scenes. An investigation is underway

#Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says that she “expects a long and difficult negotiations” ahead to try and form government. Frederiksen adds at the moment there is no obvious path to form a governing coalition. She even admits she isn’t sure it can even be done at all.

Breaking - The Swedish Prosecution Authority says it has opened a preliminary investigation against the captain of the Sea Owl, the latest shadow fleet tanker detained by Swedish authorities. So far, the ship’s captain, a Russian citizen, has not been detained.

Update: Swedish authorities have taken a crew member of the detained 🇷🇺 shadow fleet cargo ship ‘Caffa’ into custody over “violations of the Maritime Act and the Ship Safety Act, as well as the use of a false document.” A prosecutor is now dealing with what the Coast Guard calls serious offenses.
