Decade 2 (2000–2009): co-published the Status of Women in Wisconsin Report, became an independent entity, and launched Latina and Lesbian Giving Circles with the Kellogg Foundation. This was the era where we leaned into data to show what women already knew from experience. womensfundmke.org/decades

A fourth grader named Bea told our 40th anniversary crowd about her plan to build a Mars settlement with her best friend as engineer. Girl Scouts’ State of the Girl 2026 backs it up: STEM interest among girls is up to 55% (from 45% in 2017), and girls take bigger leaps with a friend beside them.

Milwaukee's sexual assault service providers are cutting staff and reducing services... not because demand dropped, but because federal VOCA funding did, by 70%. The state budget isn't final. Contact your legislators and tell them personal safety is a gender equity issue.
