Pumpkin Jack is an indie game that I remember making the rounds in 2020. It's a good game. It's nothing too special but still good. I haven't played it myself but it reminds me of MediEvil. I did like the different weapons. Plus, Jack and the crow are good characters. I've got nothing else to say.

I don't really know what I expected out of My Name Is You And It's The Only Unusual Thing In My Life. I was expecting some horror, and there are some horror elements, but it's more moody than anything. There are some interesting story threads, but it's rather underwhelming. It was only 2 bucks.

(Pt.5) Sora's story is built around one certain plot twist and they do such a good job with it. I'll probably do another run of this game at some point in the future and see if my opinion changes, but for now, I'm just glad I finally actually beat the game.

(Pt.4) -game has some pretty cool stuff, like with the Marluxia boss. On a more positive note, this game has easily my favorite story of all the Kingdom Hearts games. Namine is now one of my favorite KH characters. Riku's story isn't as good as Sora's, but it does build up his redemption arc well.

(Pt.3) -mode had better combat with the more restrictive decks you get on each floor, but the lack of non-duel obtained sleights is a bit to restrictive. The map cards still suck, and I always felt that way. I guess I can't be pleased with the gameplay of this game, which is a shame, since this-

(Replay)(Pt.1) Upon my most recent playthrough of Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, I came to a realization. That being Re:Chain might have the worst gameplay of all the Kingdom Hearts games. Like on paper, the card system is fine, but at a certain point it feels like that you have to rely on-

Damn. I knew Internet Historian fell off after his cave video disaster, but I didn't think he fell that far. Though considering how Hbomberguy described his Dashcon video, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

(Pt.3) It's not a bad story, but I wasn't interested in a lot of it. Elements I was interested like Sargon and Ghassan's relationship and Anahita aren't given much focus, and the story even feels incomplete in places. Still, that doesn't change the fact that I had a great time with this game.

(Pt.2) The powers make exploratition a blast and they're creative powers too. Combat is fun too. There's a great dodge and block mechanic, and you can even parry certain attacks. Exploring the world to find collectibles and overcome obstacles is such a blast. I didn't care for the story that much.

(Pt.1) Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is easily the best Ubisoft game I've ever played. I don't know who decided to turn Prince of Persia into a Metroidvania, but they deserved a raise. This game is so fun. Every time I got a new power, I was like "how does Sargon keep getting better?"

(Pt.7) -party members yet. Most of them are interesting, and all are good. I particularly like how they captured Adol's wanderlust while keeping him a mostly silent protagonist. So despite the iffy ending and the weak selection of bosses, I'd say this is my second favorite Ys game.

(Pt.6) I really like how this game handled Dogi. He's not a party member, but he is put in charge of managing your makeshift village of survivors. He's in charge of the raids and hunts, which are also pretty fun. The party members themselves are great to. This game definitely has the best set of-

(Pt.5) Plus finding more survivors will lead to the camp expanding, plus more manpower, which can help remove roadblocks allowing you to explore even more of the island. It's always hype finding a new survivor, and it helps that they're often interesting characters. Ed and Alison being standouts.

(Pt.4) -Celceta, but you're allowed to jump again. Combat is fun, but the true greatness lies with exploration. They brought back the map system from Celceta that I loved and made it even better. The map will have these question marks, and it either leads to a landmark, or another survivor.

(Pt.3) The story is pretty good, though the true ending is pretty iffy. It's kinda like the end of Link's Awakening, but more confusing and kinda sorta maybe lore breaking. I hope future games retcon/recontextualize the true ending. The gameplay is pretty great. It's following the style of 7 and-

(Pt.2) -survive and hopefully escape. You discover that the island is inhabited by Primordials (aka: dinosaurs) and you eventually set out to discover what this island's deal is. Along the way, you get flashes of the titular Dana, and eventually you're able to play as her in her time.

WolfRider @wolfrider2002.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
(Pt.1) Ys 8: Lacrimosa of DANA is a great game. The story starts with Adol on another ship and ends up getting stranded on yet another island, although this time, the other members of the ship got stranded too, and the island is deserted. So, you and the rest of the survivors must work together to-

I do agree with that. I just thought that they drove that aspect of him a bit too hard. Like, I felt like there was one too many scene of Simba going "Kiara, you are not allowed to do ____"

WolfRider @wolfrider2002.bsky.social · 17/09/2026
(Pt.4) I probably do prefer 1 1/2, but 2 is also worth a watch. Though the animation does kind of go into the uncanny valley.

WolfRider @wolfrider2002.bsky.social · 17/09/2026
(Pt.3) -part of their dynamic. Zazu was a super underutilized character in general. The songs range from good to passable, with Not One Of Us being the standout. Not really sure if I prefer this over 1 1/2 or not. I had a better time with 1 1/2 but I had more emotional investment in the plot of 2.

(Pt.2) -is this flawed parent and king, though his overprotectivness of Kiara got a little tiring. Rafiki proves once again to be the best Lion King character. They did drop the ball with Timon and Pumbaa. They're just not funny in this movie, and it was a missed opportunity to not have Zazu be a-

(Pt.1) Lion King 2 was a good movie. The drama with Kovu was pretty interesting. Zira is a pretty good villain with how she grooms Kovu, and to a lesser extent Vitani, and Nuka into overthrowing Simba, and having Kovu be the successor to Scar. Kiara was a fine enough character. I do like how Simba-

(Pt.4) Outside of the stuff with the other meerkats, how Timon and Pumbaa met, and raising Simba, I won't be considering this movie canon. Too much stuff just doesn't line up for me to consider that to be the case. Still, I do recommend checking this one out if you're curious.

(Pt.3) Timon. Speaking of, I don't really think the other meerkats were fair to Timon. Like nobody died during the hyena attack, and they were given warning. I like how Rafiki is the one to give Timon the idea of Hakuna Matata, proving that Rafiki is easily the best Lion King character.

(Pt.2) The way they interacted with the original was better than I thought it would be, though I didn't care for certain aspects. I also could've done without the third act breakup. It really didn't fit with the story. I also wish Timon's mom was the only meerkat that moved into the jungle with-

(Pt.1) First time seeing The Lion King 1 1/2 and this movie was a blast. I love the framing device being Timon and Pumbaa watching the movie. I liked Timon's backstory and how he met Pumbaa. It makes sense considering what we knew about them in the original movie. I did enjoy seeing them raise Simba

For my most recent playthrough of Kingdom Hearts 1, I decided to put off doing both Monstro and Olympus until right before the end of the game. That was a terrible idea. Game's still really good though.

(Pt.2) -pretty great. Calico is really fun to control. The double jump plus sword spin are great for platforming, and I especially love the warpstrike and the warpvault. I do hope that the pole vault move sees more use in the full game, as it didn't see much use in the demo.

(Pt.1) I don't usually cover demos, but I decided to make an exception for Calico Wilder and the Crystal Blade, as the game is being headed by a youtuber I've watched for a while, @benjamage.bsky.social. So judging off what I played, he and everyone else at LapCat Games are working with something-
