Just had a fantastic long run (13 miles) while on vacation at Lake George. Best part, my wife and daughter came out and met me towards the end to cheer me on.

Did someone say Emma Nilsson? Was a bummer she ended up with those 3 misses but was really awesome for me to be able to see her race in person (along with Annie Lind and the rest of the IBU folks) in Lake Placid this month.

Finally able to start going through some of the 1,581 photos I took (just with my Nikon, not counting the ones with my iPhone). Early days, but definitely a favorite here. US Grace and Kelsey with CAN Moira exiting the range after shoot 1 for MS 60 last weekend. #biathlon

Once the games are done, I will be so excited to get back to the Eurovision Sports app coverage (I just find their coverage so much better than Peacock's). Sure, I will be in a bit of withdrawal for the near 2 week break, but it will be worth it.

Sorry, I meant the World Cup of Biathlon (some pictures from that year below). The reds are a bit much this year, but Norway is easy to spot if you know to look for the stripe. SUI and a few of the others take a minute.

No need to wait until 2034, the IBU World Cup (the professional circuit that all the Olympians compete on) will be racing that same course in Utah (Soldier Hollow) in 2029.

Sorry, what I meant was (lost track halfway through the second post) is that in their historical stats (which are awesome), they do not include shooting speed (only shooting accuracy). See screenshot below. Besides that, I LOVE all the stats they do give us.

Was only about 3 years ago I learned there is a Biathlon World Cup every year, with races from the end of November until March. After the Olympics finish, you can see all the same athletes in Finland starting March 5th. Google eurovision sport if you want to watch those races.

My pleasure. There are 3 sites (each with 6 races) in January on the World Cup before the Olympics. Some will skip the CZE site and maybe Oberhof because the Olympic site is high altitude, but those two sites are low altitude, but you should see almost all the Olympians at Rupholding.

As a Sidenote, as an American who found the biathlon WC only recently, I selected Sweden as my team to cheer for given how there never seemed to be any Americans who were competitive. My daughter even made me this.

Tough to say relative, given that it is not like track with so few variables ("The Wall" in Finland vs Sweden's loop) but Lampic was fastest skier in her leg for the Mixed Relay (by 10 seconds vs JBB) and 14 seconds than she was the day before in the women's relay.
