If anyone has been wondering why I have been quiet lately - The past 4 weeks have been filled with family emergencies, house cleanup and work stress. Both Dom and I are ok, we are just so exhausted and drained. It's hard cleaning a bio-hazard house (not ours) with just us two.

I may not be active for a little while. My dog Freya is having back issues again (same as last year), and it’s ripping me apart. So, my mood and ability or be upbeat and happy is down. For the like 3 people that read this, I wanted to let you know.

Using that X/Twitter tool to find all the accounts I follow. So this will be fun to have one account instead of three... Might make more BSKY accounts to keep it all separate again. Dunno.

I'm a little nervous about Hurricane Milton. The media isn't helping either. This is why I stopped watching the news, but stick to real sources like NOAA. Despite me being in east Orlando, if it hits as a Cat4 the winds could still do damage inland. I'm going to be really stressed the next few days.

So, my experiment is still running, and I think I'll keep it going for a few more days to get a better sample size. But I kind of already know the results.

One thing of many that Bluesky does right. When you navigate to another part of the app (like chat) and go back to your feed, it doesn't refresh and lose your spot. This and many other issues with X are the reason why its circling the drain.

Wolfpac @wolfpac.bsky.social · 24/09/2024

Trying an experiment to see if what I think is right is right. I’ll post my findings tomorrow or Wednesday.

For those of you that have been following, I wanted to give an update about my back. So, it turns out that my Sciatica Nerve was aggravated on Saturday, and I have been in pain ever since. I went to the Urgent Care, ER and then my Primary. I'm able to get some relief via meds, but it's going ....

Wolfpac @wolfpac.bsky.social · 09/09/2024

Update: so urgent care thinks it is a pulled muscle or my sciatica. So I got a nice pain shot and some muscle relaxers to help over the next few days. Hopefully I can start feeling better in a day or two. This pain was a 13 out of 10 earlier.

Currently at urgent care for my back. Pulled something yesterday while pressure washing my driveway yesterday. :/

I URGE YOU NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS. This is a very common social engineering tactic that hackers put out there to gather data from you to help with security questions or data to hack you. This out there for all the world to see and can be used against you.

For the first time in over 15 years I am not going to be at Megaplex. I don’t know if it’s the culture or the massive changes or the stupid cost of hotel/food/etc that has me not wanting to go. What does hurt is this is the year that I’m not staff, could have a good time but don’t know if I can.

And the spam art scammer bots have made it here now. Thought I could leave them behind on Twitter. But had one add me and then DM me looking for something. Be careful who messages you. I reported and blocked them.

Today is not a good day. I have been dealing with a lot of stress recently and I am at my breaking point. I am tired of hemorrhaging money left and right and not being able catch up. My dog needs to go back to the vet today because she is chewing her tail again. I need a break...or a hug....

Normally, I love miserable days like it is right now (dark w/ thunder and lightning), but the weather matches my mood at work right now. I have shitty co-workers that are passive-aggressive and just horrible. Today is a day where I wish I had stayed home and stayed in bed. Fuck bad co-workers.

I’ve seen another Twitter stat website going around. Please do not give it access to your account, especially and AD account. When you do it can steal your content and use it for bad things. It’s called x horoscope. Be careful everyone. Don’t feed these apps/sites with your data.

Recently had to block someone I followed here because they brought the bad ju-ju. Basically complaining that they had followers, hit on by said followers and was upset that they didn’t fit into what “he” wanted. so he shamed them and put them down. No drama on my timeline thank you.

Seeing so many people claim "Bluesky is dead" when they only come here like only once a month, to post art, then hop off. And not engage at all. Or use hashtags. You gotta follow people, engage with the community, follow feeds, etc.! Bluesky is definitely not dead. You gotta give to receive!

"Bluesky is dead" Ways to not make it dead: 1.) Follow people. 2.) Engage in other people's posts. 3.) Follow a bunch of feeds and pin them. 4.) Use hashtags. They don't demote posts here. 5.) Browse hashtags. 6.) Post more often! (PostyBirb is a great tool for posting art to multiple sites)
