Our nightly raven roost is kicking back up at the sanctuary! 🐦‍⬛ From fall through spring, thousands of ravens descend on McCleery Ranch each evening to pack our wooden posts and wires. GPS data even shows birds flying all the way from Yellowstone National Park and back in a single day.

#TBT During their 13 years together at Wolf Haven, Lucan (1979-1994) and Clementine (1979-1996) had an unbreakable bond. As Clementine lost her sight, Lucan would regularly help guide her around their enclosure. After Lucan's passing, Clementine carried his memory in every howl.

American Red Wolf M2403 (Ghost) has really blossomed since arriving at Wolf Haven in January. Injured as a pup, Ghost’s rear left leg had to be amputated, putting him at a disadvantage in his natal family group. Ghost is now often seen with his companion, F2537 (Cassia), thriving in his new home.

Our staff are knocking out loads of fence work this summer at our Montana sanctuary. This past week, they removed over 1/4 mile of old barbed wire fence that had not been used in 10+ years - this will allow safer and easier movement of ungulate and bird species across the greater landscape!
