The book would be a good superhero origin bit where the first time someone uses their powers there's an understandable lack of control that has consequences directly proportional to the strength of those powers. Her family and social trauma are just great backstory. It's one I wished he revistited.

CD8 and 24 are the two groups COVID gutted the most in me, went from dead center of normal to low in both. Can't find an immunologist who finds this interesting enough to track changes in these numbers more than once a year while I average five nosocomial infections in that time from other docs. ♻️

If you take the skin off an avocado pit and leave them out for a bit they turn into something Lovecraftian. You can cut small lines into them that ooze the dried blood color over time.

It's not the long Covid, it's that I can stop catching new infections again and again, mainly in medical settings now. That's the only reason I've considered it. What hope is there but a miracle when there's no real treatment even now, after all this time, and most pretend we don't exist?
