💙Albion being essentially empty is very funny, to be fair. (Caveat: I only know warhammer from the Total War series, I might be missing stuff)

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 13/10/2026

💙"Oh, we've got knights!" Awesome, everyone else has every bit of technology necessary to render these fully obsolete, not matter how much magic is shoved into them.

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 13/10/2026

💙Oh, absolutely. Tbh I like a single aspect of the faction (the Green Knight) and besides that, they've got...nothing, neither lore-wise nor mechanically. Even in the Total War game, except having something in that part of the map, there's very little reason for them to exist.

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 13/10/2026

💙Which fully worked, too. Grand Cathay is wonderful, and most of the reason I'm into this game to begin with. Meanwhile, there's somehow an imagined version of Medieval France stuck in perpetual feudalism for some reason ^^'

😈Y'know, I knew I was gonna get my heart broken but it is so beautiful that I don't actually mind. ... Excuse me, you did that in TWO DAYS!!!? I gotta get better at writing fast ^^'

😈I can't help but notice that in that particular setup that excludes one of our three leads and likely means Viviana herself doesn't have to suffer for said future. Convenient.

💙And oh, what a chapter 👀 I'll keep a more detailed overlook for later but for now, if you think it can appeal to you at all you should go read this story (it's also on Scribblehub, minus this chapter, for now)

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 10/10/2026

😈I'll keep eyes open and ears perked, then. And thank you for the new chapter! 😁

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 10/10/2026

😈Actually, genuine question: when it does come to print, will you announce it here? Is there anywhere else I can keep an eye on? Don't want to miss it, even if it's in years.

😈It took me a while to find my framing device for this Kinktober, but I'm finally there! Pulled and rewrote two characters from cold storage. This year, I'm treating one of these two fae like a chew toy. Bets still open if anyone wanna make a guess! (and links in the 🧵below once I post something)

The Dullahan finished climbing the steps, clad in the still of her plate armor, saber at her side, head for now still solidly kept in place by her gorget. A blue-green cloak trailed behind her like a cold wind, and her silvery-white hair was pulled in a crown braid. High-cheekbones, an almost gray complexion, like heavy mist, and piercing, poisonous green eyes made made her into the image of severity and impending death.

At least, she hoped so.

She was a vision, the Lady of Scarlet Blooms. Long, red hairs cascading down her shoulders, adorned with small braids laden with pearls and emeralds, sun-kissed skin covered in freckles, like stars down her neck and exposed shoulders. She wore a silk dress in fiery oranges and red, wrapped around her torso with seemingly nothing more than impeccable posture and probably magic to keep it in place, slit high enough that it drew the eye to the curve of her hips. No gloves this year, and like most fae of Summer she preferred going barefoot.

The Leanan Sidhe had taken to wearing a red veil below her eyes, not quite opaque but enough that it offered only hints of her expressions, and kept focus on her mocking black eyes. Yet, the Dullahan was certain that she was smirking.

😈"Boydust" is a crazy pull to describe that but it does fit ^^ Not stressing out too much about all this is a good move, you don't need the stress. Enjoying the ride of changing preferences (or just slight shifts) is probably the way to go.

😈I knew this was going to be an incredible story when I reached this scene. 😁

120

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 08/10/2026

😈We stand firmly in the third one, there is no character in this story so far that isn't interesting.

010

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 08/10/2026

💙We're actually competent and skilled, and our writing's getting better by the day!

130

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 08/10/2026

😈Considering the fact that she's a domineering spider-demon woman and I still find her insufferable instead of hot is a solid indication that we're likely going to hate her for this unspecified future bullshit, yeah ^

141

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 08/10/2026

😈A bout of existential anguish later, I was trying to set up an appointment with a surgeon. All that to say: you might always have doubts, but trusting yourself has brought you this far. Don't let them get in your way.

010

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 08/10/2026

😈I mean...I'm in the exact same case and still a woman, but it could definitely be a case of genderfluidity, yeah. That said, here's how I dealt with the doubts: I asked myself if I'd regret going through with transitioning more than I'd regret staying in place.

120

Woeful_Imp @woeful-imp.northsky.social · 07/10/2026

😈...I don't think I could sell myself if I tried but it would sound surprisingly close to this. 🤔 Then again, I am writing mostly because you inspired me to ^^ Gob recognizes gob I suppose :P

😈Handler being Empire incarnate gives me some hope, however. Because an empire's control over its subjects is never as absolute as it believes, and every empire bears the seeds of its own downfall. So, on that very, very small touch of hope, that's all for now, I'll be back with Rescue Hound soon.
