I. LOVE. THAT. THIS. GAME. IS. GETTING. UPDATES. AGAIN. It just feels so nice after so, so long...

Day 5 - Favorite Character Theme Locke's Theme - Final Fantasy VI Song so good and heroically upbeat it gets reused for a bit as the game's standard "let's kick some ass!" theme. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLrs...

Day 4 - Favorite Main Theme/Motif Main Theme of Final Fantasy. I mean...it's the main theme of an entire franchise, surely that counts? It's beautiful and iconic and pumps nostalgia right into my veins www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsbq...

I've had a lot of fun with making pixel art FF edits this year, but I think I want to give a shot at making something entirely on my own. Will it end in disaster? Probably, but it'll be a fun disaster!

Day 2 - Favorite First Level Theme. Ruined Street - Mega Man 7. BANGER. Straight and simple. This song does such a good job of pumping the player up for the battles ahead, which is exactly what any good Mega Man stage theme should do! www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoK9...

Day 1 - Favorite Title Theme. Cradle - Spiral Knights. I'm not even sure how to describe the emotions this one hits me with. Nostalgia is in there somewhere, but it's just so...it's calm, yet adventurous, yet strangely somber. I love it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Naz...

It is actually insane how much this remake has influenced the rest of the franchise. Masked Dedede? Galacta Knight? The True Arena? Hell, Bandana Dee being more than a one-off minigame character! I can't think of another remake that has had such an impact on everything that came after.

I think it's one of those things that just needs time. There's no code to crack or "right" way to do it. Just keep at it doing what you like and eventually, hopefully, it'll slowly start to feel more and more natural.
