Confirmation at St. Matthew’s in Jamestown. Fr Lou and Patty Miduro presented a wonderful group of new Episcopalians. And Fr. Lou did a good job of filling in for the missing organist by leading the music with his guitar.

A surprisingly productive little snow event here in southern #RhodeIsland this afternoon. If it stays as cold as predicted for the next few days we may end up with a picture perfect Christmas 🎄

The Lord tells us that The Spirit will lead us into all Truth. It makes sense to me that the process for doing that is the same process we see happening elsewhere in Creation. (Lucas is the Warden of the Society of Ordained Scientists)
"Too often, Christians assume that repentance is just about switching from a false belief to a true one. And yet, Christian theology acknowledges our limitations; pure, true beliefs are rare (if not impossible). Theology then, like evolving organisms and technology, involves repentance. It moves from one locally adapted belief to another. When we are mindful (and open to the Spirit) the new belief will replace an old belief with a better one, one that better reflects reality or promotes hope, faith, and love." (Lucas's Weblog, Technological Repentance)

At St. James in Woonsocket RI for my visitation with the congregation this year. They are dedicating this plaque in thanksgiving for the restoration work in the Nave. It’s a sign of the renewal of ministry and service happening in this place.
