Sometimes you just have to get away from the hustle and bustle. There's no better time to do that than 2:00am in the absolute middle of nowhere where the sky is dark and the nightlife is crickets. #stargazing #milkyway #findingpeace Has anyone else seen an almost zero light pollution night sky?

Check out this ocean puppy just lazing around! Did you know these fellas sometimes sleep underwater? Harbor seals can rest while floating or lying on the seafloor for almost 30 min; surfacing automatically to breathe. I can put my camera down and just watch ocean wildlife for hours at a time

This is what happens when you take about a hundred photos and stack them. You get these really cool trailing affects of the stars. An active volcano under the starry sky (it was pretty scary out there ngl). Lassen has all four major types of volcanoes; shield, composite, cinder cone, and plug dome!

Lets push past sunset a little and admire the galaxy we live in! We sit about 26,000 light-years from the center of the galaxy, in one of its spiral arms. The Milky Way is about 100,000 light-years across! I love being out there when the world is quiet and still. Hope you enjoy #nightsky #milkyway
