Not sure it’s worth the drive. Used to be a lot of big, outdoor entries that made all the downtown walking fun, that’s mostly gone now. It’s the local artist, 3 miles away in my neighborhood coffee shop , that I really like - and you can never see them all. Even if you live here. It’s too big.

May 25, 2008. First game at Comerica! He lost. Would go on to catch him in Oakland, where he beat my A's, to Game 1 2012, where he did not beat the Giants.. let's just say it was a complicated relationship. Glad he's retiring a Tiger, grateful I got to see him pitch as much as I did. Next stop HOF!

Yard signs signs don’t matter except: More Abdul than Rogers in Ada, MI (land of Amway and DeVos) and let me tell you, I am tripping about THAT. 😳😳😳 This one below just dropped in the City, quite a few in my area. From LCV.

So some local D city leaders called on Scholten to reevaluate her position on ICE, got accused of “sowing division” but also received an offer to meet. All on official stationary. Story here, right? None of this has made local media except the “GR Herald,” a rightwing “news” site. *sigh*

Three of these were chalked at my yummy burger joint Fri, a popular place where you have to stand in line and look at them. Very smart. Early voting ends today for most (some in Detroit are open Mon, check local listings) - avoid the crowds and go do it! Don’t mail, in-person only at this point!

I was an extra in the movie “Touchback.” It was a blast, and I was paid for it! Barry Sanders was there! Said hi to Kurt Russell! So many businesses got off the ground, businesses that appealed to the youngs, and they just killed it. Both sides. Probably wasn’t a good day to remind me of this.

Saw Abdul with Bernie in 2020, and he’s good. Enjoyed his speech. Looks like they’re doing this on Bernie’s dime, so I’m thinking they will be streamed. Check it out if you’re so inclined.

These internet post debate polls are not scientific but holy hell. From the accounts I’m seeing he came off as composed and rational while she banged on the lectern and threw mud all night. Celebrity candidate? Pretty sure that was another Clinton charge on Bernie. Cut-and-paste 2016. So lazy.

Walked around Amway Stadium Saturday; it’s coming right along. DeVos is definitely leaving his legacy on downtown Grand Rapids. Started with Dad’s money and DeVos Hall a long time ago, but Dick is bringing the fun with outdoor venues and fixing the river. Have to tip the cap.

Having a little vacation here and spent all day at the Chihuly exhibit at Meijer Gardens. This place is absolutely stunning . If you’re in the West Michigan area, put it on the list of things to do!

🎵 Where it began, I can't begin to know when... 🎵 This is at the Ford Museum. Grabbed my attention in 2010, need to get back down there and look again, there are others that would bring and a laugh and a cry. Pretty sure the Fords would have hated Trump, but the seeds are here.

Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids. Thing really does look like a spaceship landed. 👽 Probably should think twice before I go knock off an over 10-mile walk, but feel good today. Very grateful. All the experts are saying “bass finds a way” - only answer is they *have* to turn it down. Doable.

The sound is bouncing up the river and blasting people miles away. Oops! It’s a big problem.

Remember, we own this place, and can demand it be fixed, which I’m pretty sure will happen.
