Personally, I don't believe such sanitation is ever justified. If the truth about a person can't be spoken after they died because of some arbitrary and imaginary rule about speaking ill of the dead, then that person was not a good person and the world should not forget that.

Most hate crimes against transwomen are comitted by right-wing transphobes, and a significant number of them are violent and/or deadly. Disarming transwomen has nothing to do with gun crimes. The GOP just wants to disarm their victims.

As an American who's seen what comes next- Canada, please, don't let this succeed. Don't brush this off as a minor thing or a phase, it's not. The right-wing is like a cancer that needs to be cut out manually, it will not go away on its own. If left unchallenged, it will spread and do more damage.

Fun fact, most actual scientists are also "liberal" or at least anti-conservative. Most conservative perspectives don't hold up to scrutiny, which is something scientists in general tend to be good at.

The longer religious groups are allowed free reign, the more often we see death and destruction at their hands. The Abrahamic paths being the bloodiest of all. I'm convinced China had the right idea. Maybe instead of granting freedom of religion, religion should be considered a mental illness.
