Honestly, as someone who has never seriously gotten into fighting games, at no point has the gesture to throw a fireball ever been any sort of obstacle (outside of bad input windows/controllers), but not one single person has ever even believed I was serious when I ask why/when I should ever block.

A grid of outcomes for me and someone else hitting vs. blocking vs. throwing, showing nothing but good or neutral outcomes if I mash away, a variety of outcomes if I throw, and no good outcomes at all if I block, followed by a note that some moves are unblockable on top of this.

This is just going around for some reason, and A- Nice to see people acknowledging I am in the top 1% of women over here, but also B- women who are 5'6" are apparently taller than women who are 5'7"and 5'8" and if that isn't a call to embrace the metric system, I don't know what is.

The below image of a lineup of women each theoretically one inch taller than the last, with a red MS Paint line through it at roughly the top of each woman's head clearly showing that the 5'8" woman is same height as the 5'6" womanand both seem to be taller than the 5'7" woman.

There's a bit in Dungeon Meshi where someone's describing specific and unique details about this one guy who's constantly in the face of the protagonist, and he can't place him. Then a beat later he starts in on how he can obviously tell this one kobold apart from every other low detail cartoon dog.

Worth noting that while Fox is referred to in game exclusively with he/him pronouns, the same is not true of Jenny, the flying fox with a mysterious path introduced in the sequel who happens to share the same basic moveset as Fox, whose ending involved some kinda new transformation and disappearing.

Might help to take a close look at the gold standard of wildly inconsistent character proportions that is Dragon Half. Sometimes, Mink is a realistic woman with thigh-high boots, bracers, and free-floating full armed sleeves. Sometimes, she's a starfish with key-colored stripes on her limbs.

It's also weird that it's just Power Rangers specifically that gets this weird pass on the intense xenophobia of it all. Saban also tried to pull this crap with Kamen Rider Black and people rejected that so hard it only ever comes up when people are bringing up trivia about the most offensive crimes

Some godawful puppet that looks like Teddy Ruxbin banged Howard the Duck staring at some gormless void of charisma with a doofy grin.

A really intense closeup from the first episode of Kamen Rider Black as a reminder that they used to shoot these shows on film with dramatic camera work and lighting, featuring a man with the sort of expression one might have on one's face upon seeing what Saban cobbled together out of clips from this show.
