Of course "kick out all the immigrants" isn't a solution to life's problems, and most of the problems in the UK have been caused or exacerbated by lack of appropriate government investment in essential services. But in the face of a 20% increase of population in living memory, it's an easy sell.

To clarify I don't think the world would be a utopia if we had the modern car system but all electric, but I do think a lot of people posting about how electric cars do no good are getting their talking points, whether directly or indirectly, from rich men who stand to lose money if ICE cars die out
