So I finished Chapter 20 of Millsage's story in Bang Dream Our Notes. Hotaru makes the most extreme decisions 💀 Finding out about Kanata makes her more grounded, given everything. Still have the After Stories and the current event to get through. #bandori

They're right. That was a big complaint on social media between gamers and reviewers. I still don't think it will impact their chances at a TGA nom

Lanterns finale was great! The acting was great (as usual) and the ending wrapped everything up perfectly. If you haven't watched the show yet, make sure you do!

Watched episode 1 of Repo Magic Man. My thought the entire time was the repoman scene from The Simpsons 😂 "Repo man! I'm here to repo your pants" "Not in front of my kid..." "You're somebody's father?!" Also, the RPG fantasy story setup to a non-isekai slays me 🤣🤣 #anime

Also that opening was bad. It's like they saw what Needy Girl Overdose did with their opening and said

Watched FX-Fighter Kurumi-chan EP 1! So umm...that family needs gamblers anonymous 😬 I get why people said it's Chainsmoker Cat for gamblers and stock traders 🤣 The narrator at the end took me out. "She grimaced. She whimpered." I was laughing so hard at that 🤣 #anime

Watched the new episode of Black Clover S2! I'm glad they received more time (and probably resources) on the season. The opening visuals were fine, but many shots felt like I've seen them done in other anime (is it that one guy who reuses his own shots across ops?) #anime

I know there have been discussions around Bang Dream Our Note erasing the OG7 bands, but I just read the Uika/Mutsumi Lv 1 Bond and it mentions Mutsumi having one of Pastel Palettes' albums (mentioned as PasPale). #bandori

BanG Dream seemed different with having a group of women who can use instruments in a rock band and voice act. I understand the complex arrangement for some of the songs (mostly around Millsage), but why not hire musicians & teach them voice acting?

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Re: Bushiroad's new approach for BanG Dream band performances. So if live performances with new bands will only have the vocalist + backup band, what makes the bands different from idol groups?

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Nothing has been confirmed. I did read that there isn't enough content from the manga to make another anime season yet. So it's likely in the same situation as Case Study of Vanitas.

If anything, people jurors will make sure they speed run their playthrough for either reviews or to vote (likely former than latter). Like gaming influencers are doing with Fortune's Weave now.

If Yuffie's gameplay in Intermission is how Rebirth's combat is handled, I'm going to really enjoy Rebirth!

000

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Overall, I enjoyed the game and the DLC that helped expand the world. However, some of the story points make me question how things will be wrapped up. I get the Star Wars problem feeling with this so it makes me cautiously optimistic on how it concludes.

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

* Also liked how we get the perspective of the main AVALANCHE org. I agree with Yuffie and Sonon and that Barret's splinter cell was making a better impact than whatever the main org was doing. * It seems like SQEX is pulling everyone from the past FF7 spinoffs, so Im curious to see how it's handled

100

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

to continue, the combat is a good balance of command-based and action combat. I'm excited to see how it was improved in Rebirth, especially with the pair attacks. * Intermission was good! Story-wise, they improved Yuffie from what I recall from the OG game. I liked her dynamic with Sonon a lot.

100

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

* Not a fan of the whispers and story changes. I know people unfamiliar with OG FF7 got into the series with this, but I agree with gamers who say it's a sequel or alt timeline. I wished those parts got removed and we had a remake of the OG story. * I liked the combat but it could be better

Finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade! My impression on it: * I played Remake back when it launched so I forgot a lot of story beats. It was fun to go through Midgar again, but I noticed parts where it felt like the story slowed down to force players to do sidequests #finalfantasy

010

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Exactly! It's about knowing your audience, especially with popular anime.

010

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

This reminded me of the Delicious in Dungeon title situation where the anime got the name "Delicious in Dungeon" in English and people online were upset it wasn't "Dungeon Meshi". It was revealed that both the JP publisher and the mangaka (?) decided on the name (I think it's also on the JP covers)

130

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

There has been when I have with other anime fans who speak English. YMMV but I think if the merchandise and promotion and even the release of the series (both anime/manga/LN) are using the translated name, I just go with that.

030

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

if in your region the name doesn't have an English translation (i.e., Jujutsu Kaisen) then use that name. SungWon is calling out those who use the Japanese name of an anime as a "well actually"

030

WinterVenom @wintervenom91.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I agree with SungWon here and would go further and say use the name of the title in the language you're conversing in a space. So what that means is if you're speaking with a French anime fan about Ghost in the Shell, I'd assume you'd use the French name for the anime and not the English name.
