UNPOPULAR OPINION: Frieren has been going downhill ever since they introduced "First Class Mages" and I have a grand suspicion that this new transition into some slow-paced generic shounen battle manga was an editor's idea because the mangaka clearly isn't interested and the battles are boring.

I'm making NPCs that are supposed to be experienced adventurers, so I'm establishing their items and features at the moment. 4 hours so far! So many consumables, containers, belts, quivers, item sets, weapons, and poisons. It reminds me I'm always shocked modern parties don't prep for quests more.

I'm still looking for World of Warcraft streamers that are LGBTQ or allies but man is this way too difficult. Like, I find a streamer, they seem alright, and if they're not overtly pro-LGBT I now have to spend several hours deep diving to make sure they're not a total chud hiding their powerlevel.

Video game hot take: I do not care about the length of a game. If the game costs 70 dollars, I need to get 70 dollars (or more) worth of fun out of it to justify my purchase. If there are other games that are 70 dollars and they give me more than 70 dollars worth of fun, that's the game I'm buying.

Navigating the industry as a poor creator trying to break out in the TTRPG space is a nightmare that is causing me more stress than any job I've ever had before. It's not the actual development that's a problem, it's all of the backend nonsense - licenses, commercial fees, rights, taxes, etc.

Hot #DnD tip for new Dungeon Masters: You should probably read the rulebook and do this thing called "planning" your session. I know it's complicated, but that means you already know, like, the name of the place where the adventure is happening and like, the stats for the monsters there.

In one of my campaigns, every single time that my players make an assumption about an enemy's abilities, I make an enemy that has that ability and then I introduce it later. This includes enemies that die in one hit, and enemies that can Counterspell every spell. They still haven't found this out.
