i see a lot of people afraid that “the union” is an obstacle to overcome- like a predatory, evil org designed to hold creatives hostage and make work unattainable. i wanna try and untangle some of that.

Since Kayli’s tweet had a reader added context note slapped onto it, I’ll go ahead and add my own here: Nathan Nokes is either lying, or being lied to.

A post on Twitter by Kayli Mills that reads:

This is actually.. kinda diabolical. If you need the money, at LEAST take the role uncredited. This just comes off as an easy grab for clout. It's not a good look.

Her post then has a note attached with “readers added context”:

According to voice actor Nathan Nokes, fellow VA Jacob Takanashi who is a Japan based VA had no knowledge of the strike or the circumstance of which the role was being recasted.

I had 2 weeks of a rollercoaster of emotional ride. From vacation to mourning to wedding then tomorrow working. 🙃 November has been a hard blow but I will stand up and keep going.

Imagine being outcasted by your prev co worker who happens to move to your current workplace.. then people in your team (who knows the story) volunteered you to be the mentor for that person. 🙄
