The smartest thing Rocky Horror theater runners & groups could do would be to organize a double feature of RHPS & Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in celebration of these two legendary icons. I'm grateful I was fortunate enough to live in a world blessed by Tim Curry & Dolly Parton.

I needed way more characters than this window allows to say what I thought of Mixtape. I'm no reviewer, but people (not just gamers) really should get to experience this one, so, here I am saying a bunch of words about a game. In short, "absolute cinema".

As gen x, this game is perfection. Artistically breathtaking, cinematic, wonderfully written & acted. Every song & accompanying moment had me reeling, especially the convertible & final 2 scenes/songs. When the first few notes hit with their scenes, I completely lost it.

From moment one, I was immersed. This game relies on nostalgia & that's the entire point, it does it beautifully. I got to relive my youth, & felt every moment. There was a lot of hyperventilating & tears. And laughter & smiles, was smiling so much at times.

As a game, it's not the kind I play, but it did seem to have fun mechanics. The stone skipping was wonderfully done. I didn't actually play, I saw a stream, & while I don't plan to play, afterward I bought it anyway out of a desire to support the devs. I just watched a 3½ hour movie for less than the price of admission, it's absolutely worth it. May not be my kind of game, but I am grateful it exists & that I got to experience it. It's art, & was obviously created with love & care.

For those who aren't gamers, & especially if gen x or (probably?) millennial its worth watching a stream of it. In these trying times, it's kind of the perfect & much needed experience.

Finally, the scene with Colin, probably the greatest, most amazing minigame ever made. The detail! The sound effects! 🤮 And that one shot with the slingshot, they definitely know their audience.

I have no idea how Beethoven & Dinosaur plan to top this, but I'd love to see them try. The entire game was absolute cinema.

I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna be nicer about this. Neocon boomers are mortgaging my generations future by amassing trillions in debt, turning America into a pariah on the global stage, and getting our troops killed for another failing war.

I have to watch these neocons lie about the state of this war on TV every single day. Then, the moment I push back and assertively ask, “hey, what’s the actual goal here?” I have a legion of neocon boomers telling me I should know my place. Or I should wait my turn to talk with the grown ups.
