My big brother Simon Nelson passed away a couple of weeks ago. His memorial will be held at the Duluth Public Library Green Room on January 21, 2026, 2-5pm. I would not be who I am without him, and I miss him beyond words.

For this whole dream sequence I did the colors in acrylic paint on transparent Duralar. I wanted imperfection and texture and this method turned out to be a ton of fun!!! 🤘🏼

So sad about the passing of a creative North Star. I wrote these notes-to-self from his words in the special features on the Wild At Heart dvd. They were the mantras that fueled writing Cut Flowers. ❤️ David Lynch - thank you for continually teaching me to be brave in art. I'll keep studying.

Notes written from David Lynch commentary: Don't do it middle of the road. Don't try to define it. People can see in the dark something they'd never see anywhere else.

Roger walks through his house, taking to the ghost. She tells him three days have passed, which at first he doesn't believe but then checks the day on his computer. His house is sparkling clean, and he asks the ghost if she's haunting him just to do his housekeeping. She replies that she came to him because no one else could hear her.

Roger says "So I'm being haunted out of boredom?" The ghost tells him she is a huge fan, and that since he talked to ghosts during his performances that he might be able to hear her. He asks is she can make herself visible in the mirror again, which she does, and he's shocked she's so young. She tell him she's 19.
