My cables ran from the start box between me and my neighbor, all the way under my front yard and driveway, then under the gate, to the end box. Now the cables run over the yard from the start box through the backyard, around the back, to the end box. One big part is cement, which will be pricier.

I read that artificial turf installers often accidentally damage your phone and internet cables. It requires advanced landscapers to handle it with care. Expensive lesson!

I have to call an advanced team to bury my new internet & landline cables + add new back landscaping. They were damaged a while ago after I had fake grass installed. I just finished re-grouting all travertine flooring myself! I did a great job! Leaf cleanup is constant and never-ending right now!

The moment I've been waiting for in Touhou Luna Nights has arrived 🥹 it's the showdown with Remi! She has such a cool intro to her battle, and her moveset is crazy, she's a difficult boss to beat! The remix of Septette for the Dead Princess is immaculate as well 😭 she's totally awesome in this game!

The time stop mechanic in Touhou Luna Nights is awesome! Sakuya has the ability to freeze time temporarily, and enemies will be frozen while Sakuya can move freely! During this time, you are able to stack knives and even stand on thrown knives! Sakuya can also slow down time, it's a cool mechanic!

In terms of the vibe of Touhou Luna Nights, it's amazing 🥹 the game is head-to-toe Touhou, and it's awesome to see it in this format! There are also a ton of familiar faces and locations in the game, it's so cool! The remixes on the OST go hard as well, and the graphics are rad! It's a banger vibe!

The graze mechanic in Touhou Luna Nights is super cool! The mechanic is adapted from the mainline Touhou games, and in Luna Nights it allows you to recover HP, MP, and time by dodging enemies and projectiles! The mechanic provides a nice risk-reward balance to the game and is satisfying to execute!

Our focus is always being tested! But knowing how easy it is to get thrown off balance actually reinforces the inner will & discipline to prioritize what matters most! When it happens to me, I get completely lost for a minute, then I clear my emotions and refocus. You'll never go off path for long!

LOVE YOU SO MUCH JULIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to think about selling your landscapes... and doing fitness influencing and workout videos... YOU ARE SOOOO MAGNETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

151

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

So, to get the landscape right, you have to have your high f-stop, focused and sharp, but you need more light, so you'll be adjusting the lighting exposure, but that slows down your shutter speed, but then when you have it on a tripod, you can turn down the ISO so you don't have noise.

151

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

The ISO lets the shutter speed go faster but adds grain and noise. You want those smooth, sharp landscapes. Not grainy, noisy ones...

051

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

When you have a low f-stop, you shoot faster, but you don't have the full sharp scene. So, if you were shooting a bee on a leaf... that's perfect with a low aperture... But not a landscape.

051

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Ok, you have to master manual mode on the camera. you have to learn the exposure triangle. This will pave the foundation for everything you do. You do not want to waste time on auto-mode. You can do that later... but once you know the manual settings, you will be the boss of the camera.

151

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

4. Balance Shutter Speed: Look at your camera's light meter through the viewfinder. Dial the shutter speed wheel until the indicator line rests exactly on 0. 5. Focus & Shoot: Autofocus about one-third of the way into the scene, then take the photo.

051

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

1-5 Step-by-Step Settings 1. Set Mode: Turn your camera dial to M (Manual). 2. Set ISO: Set it to 100 (keeps the image clean and free of noise). 3. Set Aperture: Choose f/11 (creates a deep depth of field so the whole scene stays in focus).

161

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Exercise 1: Razor-Sharp Landscape Goal: Capture a landscape where everything from the foreground to the horizon is perfectly sharp and clear. Setup: Find an outdoor scene with elements close to you (like rocks or flowers) and elements far away (like trees or mountains). Use a tripod if you have one.

141

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

ISO: Measures how sensitive your camera sensor is to light. Low values (like 100) produce clean, clear images in bright light. High values (like 3200 or 6400) brighten dark scenes but add digital grain or noise.

140

Pauline @winkwork.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Shutter Speed: Controls how long the camera sensor is exposed to light. Fast speeds (like 1/1000s) freeze fast-moving action like sports. Slow speeds (like 2 seconds) create artistic motion blur, such as silky waterfalls or light trails.
