One couple, a man and a woman whose TikTok account is dedicated to shopping content designed to garner affiliate commissions on TikTok Shop purchases, have made several videos promoting less-expensive smart glasses. In some of these videos, they market what they claim are light-free glasses by pretending that the woman is unaware that her partner was recording her during sex due to the lack of an indicator light.

“Whew! Dang, baby. That was real good — and a good video, too,” the man tells the woman in one such video. The woman, who’s filmed point-of-view-style as she pretends to zip up her pants, feigns confusion. “Video?” she asks.

The Skystones are an electric sky blue with delicate, wispy golden-hued matrix. They're natural American turquoise, the color of #8 but the matrix more Blue Moon.

Rosarita is gold slag, a byproduct of the refining process that is technically a form of glass. True Rosarita comes from one area; it's opaque, glossy, and manifest in shades of crimson to scarlet, these the purest reds in this material that we've ever seen.

In addition to the stampwork, the wings are adorned with four cabochons: two heart-shaped Rosarita cabochons; two matched ellipse-shaped Skystones. All are set into bezels saw-cut, filed, and shaped entirely by hand.

The body is formed of heavy-gauge sterling silver half-round wire, separately wrought and overlaid. At one end, Wings split the "wire" by hand, then hand-shaped the two segments into arced antennae. the other end he hammered flat and stamped.

It's saw-cut, scalloped, and stamped freehand of solid sterling silver of a decently heavy gauge. The wings' scalloped edges are smooth and graceful; the stampwork consists of old-style motifs.

It's Butterfly as you've never seen her before, rendered in silver and stone [and gold slag], suspended from a strand of beads hand-selected to match. This one is big and bold and still utterly traditional, 3" long by 3-3/8" across at the widest point.

There's no "normal" now. This tree began going yellow, brown, and black in July, only hints of red visible now; it's struggling for survival. Then, though, it was still thriving. the first photo, my favorite, shows radial limbs on a straight trunk, pointed leaves like pinwheels.

The month is significant because, normally, the maples don't go red in any real way until October, usually after the midpoint. To have it happen in September, and for the tree to be virtually wholly red, was rare in the extreme.

All 3 photos are of the smaller fire maple, a smaller tree, planted some 4 years after the other, but both formerly turned color on roughly the same schedule. These photos date back 6 years, shot not in October, but on September 29th, 2020, in late afternoon.
