And speaking of slides, Gary Johnson unfortunately managed to beach his car in the gravel in one of the modified Ford races. Snowi was able to get some pictures of the recovery, as it happened right as we were on the infield.

This display was especially memorable for this fantastic drift display from a rally-spec Sierra. The driver did this every lap... Until they overcooked it slightly and spun! Then they kept lapping and kept sliding as if to double-down. Great stuff!

Snowi and I spent most of today at the Clacton Air Show, although my favourite aircraft is still the camera helicopter that catches high-quality shots of Grand Prix weekends for the whole world to see! Snowi managed to snap these equally high-quality shots back at the British Grand Prix.

The start of a Formula Ford race at Brands Hatch and the cars of Anthony Amato #90, Connor Willis #99, Tom Nippers #189, Jason Smyth #26 and Morgan Quinn #1 (Number obscured). Smyth ended up winning from pole ahead of Rory Smith, Nippers, Quinn and Willis, and unfortunately Amato DNFed.

Sam Meagher finished third in both Audi Cup races at Snetterton, although unfortunately there were only seven cars in attendance! They're beautiful cars though, so hopefully the series gets revived in the not-too-distant future.

Pierre Gasly spent the first part of the Silverstone #F1 practice session sporting flo-vis paint, which you can see as the red patch on the front wing. This is a specially designed paint which allows the aerodynamicists to see where drag is affecting the profile of the car. Very cool!

You may have noticed the Williams colours on Giusti's car, but he's not the only F3 driver with backing from top-level racing teams! Tuukka Taponen #8 sports the Ferrari Young Driver Academy logo, Mattia Colnaghi #7 and Fionn McLaughlin #24 both have Red Bull backing and Jin Nakamura #25 has Toyota!

Shooting cars through a catch fence is always difficult, but it can also add a sense of speed, looking like subtle little arrows overlayed on the picture. One driver who was looking for a bit more speed was Alessandro Giusti, although unfortunately he couldn't break into the points at Silverstone.

It's awesome to see Lando Norris on pole for today, especially after having watched the Friday of the British Grand Prix from the 'Landostand' at Stowe. The crowd cheered so loudly every single time Lando came through! It was something I've only experienced in the past with the great Lewis Hamilton.

Fernando Barrichello in Formula 3 practice at Silverstone. I unfortunately never got to see his dad racing live, but I was a fan of his! Unfortunately Fefo has had a tough year so far, failing to score any points as of yet. Then again, AIX aren't exactly known as a competitive team.

Crash! Snowi and I were at Foxhall Speedway last month for the BRISCA F1 stock cars, and it started off in true stock car fashion... With two cars getting tangled up and then sitting in the middle of the track for the whole of the heat. They were Thomas Rogers #269 and Ben Howard #544.
