I think that's a step-ladder, Krystal.

like what do you mean it was an entirely different game that had star fox slapped on it right before release and none of the other games are like it?? assault gave me whiplash as the sequel, too, though it seemed to be at least a little more faithful to the style /format of the rest of the games

i think star fox adventures being my first star fox game really screwed up any fair chance I had for the franchise :(

yeah I mean there’s a small chance you could like silksong bc it feels a bit different from HK but I don’t think it’s likely. Go play a game that makes you happy instead of this one that makes you rage innnnn a bad way

this might just be a game you don’t mesh well with and there’s nothing wrong with that! If inputs feel bad and you don’t see that getting better regardless of hours sunk in the game, hit da bricks!! torturing yourself over this game when you could be doing other things that make you happy ain’t it!

all this said, I would be happy to replay hollow knight and eventually silksong for you!! so you can at least experience it somehow, if you still want to

fwiw I would say the mantis lords ARE a hard boss lol. idk about the “qol upgrades” you’re referring to but the games DOES get harder with every skill unlocked imo. There really isn’t any easing down, just ramping up. It would only “get easier” via the same techs ik you would apply to elden ring
