I think this is a coprolite! Which is to say, fossil poop. It's a bunch of crushed (bivalve?) shells on the side of Cretaceous limestone at Seminole Canyon SP, Texas. This is about the most fossiliferous place I've been, there are ammonites everywhere underfoot if you look for them.

A few no-see-ums seem to be able to get through the window mesh in my travel trailer in Florida this year. This was not a problem the two previous winters, but I remember a terrible time in the Everglades years ago. Flooding from Milton may have something to do with it.
