A couple other notes - MMOs were founded on a yearly or bi-yearly expansion model. I am a firm believer The final shape should have been the final chapter for D2 and then D3 development announced. Dungeon passes were always stupid. Expiring season passes also stupid.

I don't disagree that their monetization strategy was misguided. It is pretty clear in the reporting though that the staff was not aware this was the end of Destiny 2 until that TWID. So in terms of development they were just reacting to community sentiment. Bungie suits got us here - not the devs.

That doesn't mean Marathon isn't interesting but I don't think abandoning the core of the game and tacking on an under baked PVE mode will address the core issues myself and many others have with it.

Console player here. Bungie's leadership has always been a problem but the devs delivered a game that was unmatched, no matter how broken they could be. I like Marathon's world but I don't like BRs or the extraction shooter genre. That is the reason why they didn't do numbers. Marathon is niche.

Yeah and in the initial leak he said possibly multiple star fox games. So based on this if Ocarina Remake hits it will confirm that story is key to the upcoming movie.

The boot requirements are bad but it seems like it was tested in a vacuum. The minute players got in they realized maps were too big, the farming gear element ended up as a chore and the character balance was uneven. Highguard had bigger problems than being the final surprise at the game awards.

Ghosts of Yotei is extremely well crafted. For me it took everything I enjoyed about Tsushima and improved upon it mechanically. The pacing is methodical and shows the beauty. The story is earnest and at times predictable but the message of hope and change rings true. #Protectyourpack #GhostsofYotei

Have you played this game? Based on the response doesn't seem like it. This has elements of Halo in the beginning but this game's visuals take from Metroid Prime. You know cause it's the 4th one. If you are looking for Unreal 5 - Nintendo is never gonna be the place.

Not how it works - designers are shifting all the time. 10 years of constant change and loads of turn overs - going from Activision ->Independent ->PlayStation. It's absolutely amazing they were able to keep heads down and deliver the content they did and will. Add on that Pete Parsons - nuff said.
