Yeah some of the helmets from the late medieval and early modern period are a bit whacky looking. Especially stuff like the frog mouth helmet. Although this was more of a jousting helmet than a battlefield helmet.

Today I learned that in 1984 an anime was made based on an old Finnish book called Paimen, piika ja emäntä (Shepardess, Servant Girl and Hostess). The anime is called Katri, Girl of the Meadows and it has never been broadcasted in Finland which I find kinda weird. #anime
